Some of my friend bring me to this spot & i try the soft spinach lamb wich was delicious. The rice & vegetable salade Great. The mashaba soup its a végétarian one was ok. The eggplant appetizer was fine But the dessert is a bomb wich was rose water pudding & pistachio.
I went for dinner with a few friends & the experience was amazing. The service was great & the food was delicious.
I got the Table D'Hote #1 with the lentil soup, Ashak (leek dumplings), & kabuli palaw. The soup tasted like traditional dal, very nice. The Ashak was amazing, basically dumplings with a different flavor. The Kabuli Palaw was truly the star! The rice was soft, the lamb was melting off the bone.
The staff was really nice, very attentive but not hovering. You could really take your time sitting there, eating food, & enjoying conversations. Highly recommend!

Fantastic dining experience from start to finish ! It was our first time, but won't be our last. This BYOW Afghan resto had ambiance & amazing food at reasonable prices, & great service.
We had the table d'hote #2 to try as much as possible. Started with a delicious lentil soup, followed by a massive Kabuli Palaw (roasted fork-tender lamb shank) accompanied by a huge plate of savory brown basmati rice, flavoured with afghan spices, raisins & carrot juliennes. Absolute amazing !
Other lamb dishes sampled were the Sabzi Chalaw (with spinach) & Korma Chalaw (tomato based), all equally delicious. Reservations are recommended, although we didn't have to wait at all, & it was Valentine's Day !
The Khyber Pass is a great experience & highly recommended! There are two set menus that are a great value & allow you to sample across the menu. The soups as starters are recommended as salad comes with main plates. Every dish we tried was excellent: freshly made, good ingredients & cooked to perfection. The service was attentive & professional. There is great outdoor garden seating & a nice indoor area as well. I would love to go back & sample everything on the menu. Be sure to take your own wine & they are happy to serve it to you. This is the best restaurant experience I have had in a long time.
Note that currently for Friday & Saturdays there are two dinner seatings a 5 pm & 7:30 pm. The restaurant opens at 5 pm so call & leave your name & they will get back to you to confirm. Luckily there was space on the day we went, but be prepared if you only try to reserve on short notice.
My new favourite restaurant. I was kinda afraid because there's not a lot of vegetarian options, but I had the table d'hôte with the house soup & vegetarian combo, & it was amazing! the most delicious experience I've had in a restaurant in years. Will definitely come again!!
We took two soups for an entree, which the lentil soup, I can say, was amazing! The main dish was kabuli polow with a lamb shank which just melts in the mouth with shredded carrots.
Definitely one of the best spots in the city.
