Belle ambiance. Authentique. Le kabuli palaw était délicieux. L'agneau si tendre. Commencé avec une entrée: borani citrouille qui était savoureuse. Service courtois & le serveur a été aidant. Il m'a offert le pouding à l'eau de rose arrosé des pistaches qui était vraiment délicieux avec mon thé à cardamome.
I recently dined at Afghanic Restaurant & had an exceptional experience. The ambiance was warm & inviting, & the food was incredibly flavorful, offering a delightful taste of authentic Afghan cuisine. Mobeen's hospitality stood out the most; he made us feel right at home with his attentive & friendly service. It's rare to find such genuine & personalized attention. My first Afghan dish experience & we weren't disappointed! Food was great & the menu offers very decent choices. Ambiance is pretty nice & very Montreal-esque. It was a great night to eat & enjoy a good wine, with good company 😊 Service makes a difference as well. Our waiter was very friendly, hard worker & listened to us like a person. He took time even it was busy. I recommend this place & will come back...hopefully before summer ends to enjoy the Terrace.
Super restaurant BYOB :) je recommande les menus table d'hôte ! J'ai pris la soupe de lentilles maison (bien aillée & délicieuse), le borani à la citrouille en entrée, le plat d'agneau en plat (délicieux !!). Ça finit par un thé & un pudding à la rose & à la pistache que je n'ai pas aimé par contre. L'ambiance est top, c'est pas trop bruyant fait qu'on s'entend parler, & la bouffe est généreuse :D je suis repartie avec des restes.
J'étais allé au Khyber Pass il y a une dizaine d'années & j'en avais gardé un très bon souvenir. Je déteste faire des critiques négatives, mais ici, il me semble important de contrebalancer les avis trop positifs. Rien à redire sur l'ambiance & le service était ce qu'il était. La bouffe par contre, aurait de quoi enrager un Gordon Ramsey & aurait fait un bon épisode de Kitchen Nightmares. Il n'y pas d'amour & de passion dans cette nourriture. Ça manque d'âme, de goût, d'épices & de fraîcheur. C'est du réchauffé & les ingrédients ne sont pas bien choisis. On est pas très loin de la Casa Grecque mais en moins bien assaisonné. Les portions gargantuesques des repas principaux sont rébarbatives, surtout qu'on se rend compte, une fois la faim passée, que ce n'est pas très bon finalement. Le gaspillage est inévitable. Si les propriétaires lisent ces lignes, mon conseil serait de revoir de fond en comble le menu, d'investir sur la qualité plutôt que la quantité. Nous aurions volontiers payé un peu plus cher si la qualité avait été au rendez-vous. Malheureusement personne de notre groupe compte revenir (à moins que les choses changent).
We ordered Kabuli Pulao & another lamb dish. The food was okay. However, above 33 dollars per person per dish, it was not at all worth it. Apart from that, they have a rule that "there has to be a minimum of 1 dish order per person". Through this, they make sure 2 people can't share a plate of their expensive food. The atmosphere was not great. The interior was very cramped. Without even asking, they had already included a 15+% tip. Not worth it. & the food is definitely not worth what you're paying for.
Best place to eat the best lamb shank in town. Perfect exotic ambiance , friendly staff, excellent service, delicious dishes & BYOW! You will not be disappointed. A must if you are in town.
The exterior of this restaurant always intrigued me. Finally went. The food is great (lamb was so tender & everything was wonderfully flavorful) & good value for the amount you get. Love the ambience & the service was excellent. I will definitely be going back & taking friends.
An amazing dining experience in all domains! Our service was friendly, kind, & attentive. Our food was amazing, with flavorful lamb melting off the bone. The borani à la citrouille was particularly tasty, as was the rose water pudding. The space was itself was warm & cozy, & the price point very reasonable.

Cuisine exceptionnelle, service personnalisé & hors du commun, l'ambiance nous fait voyager. J'y retourne n'importe quand. Le prix n'est pas élevé par rapport a la qualité de la nourriture. J'adore MERCI Mobin pour tout.
I LOVE this place. The ambiance is so homey & the staff is super kind. We ordered the Table D'hôte #1 with mantoo & korma chalaw & it was fantastic. Really beautiful flavours!
We had a fantastic dinner here. Every dish we had was flavorful & they use some delicious spices as well. We got the table d'hôte menu (a 4 course menu) & the lamb in tomato sauce was my favorite dish. The lamb was falling off the bone & the sauce was spiced & balanced. It's BYOB which is nice too!
Nous y avons mangé 2 fois dans les 4 derniers mois. Ambiance géniale, en terrasse l'été où dans la salle troglodyte du sous-sol. Serveurs super efficace & qui conseil très bien, saveurs exceptionnelles, prix raisonnables. Une expérience à faire!!

Great spot for Afghan food in the mile end. I had the table d’hôte with Kabuli Palaw. The lamb was tender & fall off the bone, the rice was very flavourful. The rose pistachio pudding was delicious. BYOB, good portion size & the staff were kind & attentive.
