1. Heads up on the chicken biryani - it's overly spiced, masala-heavy rice, not the biryani I know from here (2/5).
2. Mango lassi also seems to have a lot of artificial coloring added (2.5/5).
3.On the plus side, butter chicken & garlic knots were great as always (4/5). Mixed visit overall - stick to the butter chicken & naan.

Had a wonderful experience at Khao Peeyo! We started with the samosa chaat, which was absolutely delicious (9/10). We ordered two combo meals-the chilli chicken was packed with flavor & easily a 10/10, & the chicken kebab was equally outstanding (10/10), tender, perfectly seasoned, & served with a delicious mint chutney. The portion sizes were generous, the atmosphere was enjoyable with nice music playing, & the overall experience was excellent. Highly recommend this place for delicious Pakistani/Indian food!
My household's go-to indian place almost every time
Everything we've tried has been very good - but the thing that really sets khao peeyo apart from the other indian restos in Montréal for us is the meat. Cooked perfectly it's always tender & moist & super flavourful - two huge standouts are the chicken korma & the lamb madras
Aki & harman was super cool & they serve us the best chicken wrap ever... We definitely come back!
I always order here for takeout once in a while & the service has never left me disappointed. The portions are good & the price is also nice.
I recommend the korma & the butter chicken.
Food is amazing & very well served, service is great, will be coming back for butter chicken!
Loved my experience at Khao Peeyo! The food is super flavorful & fresh, especially the butter chicken & naan. Great atmosphere & friendly staff - definitely one of the best spots for Indian food in Montreal. Highly recommend!
If comfort had a flavor, it would taste like Khao Piyo.
From the moment you walk in, the aroma wraps around you like a warm shawl on a winter evening. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted-rich, vibrant, & full of that authentic Indian soul you just can't fake. The spices don't shout; they sing in perfect harmony.
The butter chicken is silky & indulgent, the biryani arrives like a celebration in a bowl, & even the simplest naan feels like it was made with care & intention. You can tell this isn't just food-it's passion plated beautifully.
What truly elevates the experience is the hospitality. The staff treats you less like a customer & more like a guest they've been waiting for.
If you're craving real Indian flavors that feel both nostalgic & exciting, Khao Piyo isn't just a restaurant-it's an experience you'll want to return to again & again.
