I work across the street & have tried this place a few times. Never had a good meal or decent service. First time they mixed up our orders (we were 3) & the food was very slow to come even if the place was near empty. Tasted just ok.
Thinking it was just an off day, I returned a few months later & had the exact same experience. Wont be going back.
To any tourists thinking this is what a Montreal bagel is... no, it isnt. Go with the traditional places to live the real experience.

With how good I know bagels can be now in montreal this one really doesnt set the mark. We got the veggie bagel & it was pretty middle of the road. The bagel itself was decent but the mushrooms in it was clammy & cold & none of the other veggies were really that good either. I have no idea why the mushrroms were so cold & clammy but it really through me off every bite. Its not expensive & its quick so i can see why someone going to work might swing in to get one but I would recomend just doing a spread or something.View more

Given we have already visited a number of other locations in Ontario, we decided to give this location a try while in Montreal. & it didn't disappoint! Besides the obvious delicious bagels, this time we were impressed with the fantastic customer service. Thank you to the two bakers who made our son feel extremely special while visiting your store. After standing in front of the glass for approximately ten minutes watching the bakers make various bagels, they made him a special little bagel. It was unnecessary but very much appreciated. First time in Montreal, we discover that a local specialty is BAGELS (I thought New York had the monopoly of that), & upon the recommendation of the staff in our hotel for a good place nearby, we rush to Kettlemans to check it out. Well, we were not disappointed: the bagels are very good, with all the necessary condiments (various types of cream cheese, lox, onions, etc.). Staff was friendly & efficient, the place is new, clean & well organised. We will go back.View more

The staff consistently demonstrates a welcoming demeanor & provides detailed explanations of the menu items; in particular, Ksikes offered exceptional patience & assistance during my ordering process. My recent order, which included a Western Omelet on an everything bagel & a large cappuccino, totaled $13.00. While the price point is reasonable, the bagel portion size & the strength of the cappuccino could potentially be enhanced. No 2 bags of bagels will ever taste the same. Sometimes they are amazing, & sometimes they taste like they were short ingredients & used old dough.View more

This Bagel shop is my first time. Came here to buy a 12 Bagels.
Pros:
A) It's in downtown. That's the best part.
B) It's open 24 Hours.
C) You can eat inside & they have plenty of seats available.
D) The spot & place looks clean.
Cons:
A) The bagel is okay the taste is good but I like more taste when it comes to the bagel nothing serious though.
B) Service can be slow as there is only 2 cash register.
C) They need to have more details about the shop outside like opening hours & the rating by the health inspectors etc.
Conclusion:
It's okay bagel shop hope to try their specialties but for now I think I will stay away from this shop.
I hope they improve in terms of taste, quality good people & customers relations.View more
