Chef Im learned the intricacies of his vocation. Officially qualified as a Japanese chef after only a few years of studies and apprenticeship, Chef Im has the merit of being allowed to prepare fugu, a dangerous delicacy, which requires a unique skill gained only by years of rigorous training.

We had a fantastic time at Karin tonight. We went because of a Reddit recommendation & we were not disappointed. The staff was very kind & attentive, we forgot to ask her name but she was wonderful (thank you for everything!). The food was delicious. A surprise favorite was the dressing on the side salad, & the house-made bibimbap sauce was superb. We will definitely be coming back!

Amazing & authentic Japanese food experience! Great service & homey comfortable feel the place. I highly recommend the gyoza which felt fresh & are the best I have had in a long time, the yaki-udon was delicious & a very generous portion, the matcha cheesecake was a rich & tasty way to end this meal. I would recommend making a reservation as it was pretty busy & we happened to get an empty table just in time. Will be coming back! (There was also a decent vegetarian section in the menu for those who prefer the option)

One of, if not the best Japanese meal I have ever had in my life. Everything was perfectly flavored, the fish was very fresh, the Wakame was delicious. Our server was the nicest woman, & the space is peaceful & charming. 10/10!

I discovered a pretty good Japanese restaurant near the udem area. The sashimi didn't have any fishy taste & was reasonably priced. It's not super fancy, but the value for money is great.

This place is so cute! An absolute gem in NDG. It is decorated so nicely, full of culture (according to my partner), the waiter is so nice. I am not a fan of the sushi they serve though, the soy sauce was too salty & the wine was not good, do not order the house wine. The miso soup was good, I will perhaps give it another chance by ordering other dishes instead of sushi. It is also pricey.

I love this place! The fish & vegetable soup is savory with natural flavours. Sashimi quality is excellent. There's a wide variety of authentic Japanese dishes. I order delivery & they always write nice words on the bag, which makes me feel very special. It's obvious that this establishement is passionate about what they do. You can feel & taste the love that goes into each dish. I highly recommend! I appreciate you! 💗

What a great experience we had at Karin. The place is really nice with seating separated so that you almost have your own little private corner & we loved the decor. On our first visit we tried the Shrimp Tempura & the Salmon Teriyaki & both were excellent. Great presentation & just the right batter on the shrimp. The service was also just amazing, so friendly, you can really tell that they love what they do. There were so many other items on the menu & we have returned to try some others, & never disappointed.

Came in for the first time & was greeted by very warm & welcoming service. Not only was the food excellently prepared, they are very generous with the portion size. Don't be intimidated by the prices as you will be leaving with full stomachs.
