A wonderful experience.
The food is very delicious, & the owner & staff are very kind with excellent service.
With Fairuz's songs & a tasty breakfast, it was the perfect morning.
Thank you, Kamoun Restaurant.
Hands down the best & most authentic Levantine breakfast in the greater Montreal area. The food tasted delicious, the quantities were very generous, the service was impeccable, & the atmosphere was very pleasant! Honestly nowhere else comes close. Highly recommended!
Today was my first time to try Kamoun restaurant & I had breakfast there , we were 13 persons. I didn't regret that, it was excellent experience, the food was amazing & generous quantity, service was very welcoming, quick & well organized even the restaurant was fully booked.
We had iftar at Kamoun today & we had the best time. The food was delicious & comforting
Felt like eating at home. Will definitely come back for breakfast when Ramadan is over & we recommend it 100%
Today I visited Kamoun for breakfast, & it was an incredible experience! The atmosphere is warm & inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely meal.
I highly recommend the *foul medames*'tes2ye with tahini' & *manakish*-all were bursting with flavor & authenticity. The *hummus bl la7meh' was creamy & delicious. The owners were so friendly & attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable.
If you're looking for a taste of Syria & Lebanon in Canada, this place is a must-try! I can't wait to return & explore the dinner menu!
This was our first time visiting Kamoun Restaurant in Laval, & we came based on my cousin's recommendation. We went on a Sunday & arrived just after opening, around 10:15 AM.
When we walked in, the music was very loud, especially for that early in the morning. We asked the waitress to lower the volume, which she did.
We ordered a variety of breakfast items, including foul mdamas, msabaha (mousabaha), fatteh, eggs with sujouk, & my cousin decided to try the fawarej & lsanat.
As soon as you sit down, they bring Lebanese coffee without asking. Three of us don't drink Lebanese coffee, so I really think they should ask before serving it.
As for the food, it was just okay.
The eggs with sujouk were disappointing & lacked flavor.
The msabaha was good.
The foul was not to my taste - they use large fava beans & don't mash them, which looked & felt a bit odd to me.
The restaurant itself is nice, clean, & cozy, & the food presentation was fine. However, even though the place wasn't busy, the waitress never came back to check on us, ask how the food was, or see if we needed anything.
Prices felt a bit high for what was offered. When my cousin went to pay, he noticed the bill was higher than expected. After checking, he realized we were charged multiple times for the msabaha, fatteh, & foul. Thankfully, they corrected it & removed the extra charges, but it was still an unpleasant moment.
Overall, I'd give this place 3 stars. Nothing terrible, but nothing special either. I'm honestly not sure if I would return.
I found Kamoun to be overpriced. Two reasons for rating 3 out 5 stars; I had eggplant feteh, it was 30% fried eggplant & the rest 70% chickpeas, which is not authentic. The service was relatively good.
2nd, Parking was another reason was difficult to find parking spot despite being the only'dinein' client on a weekday !
I think the restaurant is best for breakfast, brunch or takeout order.
Small cosy place with fantastic food
Everything was authentic & tasteful
Especially their new pickles
Owners & waiters were warm & welcoming
They tried their best to give us a good experience & make us feel at home
The falafel was fresh,& we had a bigggg pot of breakfast tea
& the picle plate & Arabic coffee are on the house 😍 last time we had Halaweh & rice pudding on the house
The only thing this place was missing is to have a pie & bread chef, which i wish they have in the future
Update
They have saj cheese pie the one witg cheese & muhammara is tasty
Their breakfast portions are a bit small for the price though
