The server seemed like he was filling in & didn’t care much to do more than the bare minimum. That would’ve be okay since he wasn’t outright rude or disrespectful but then the food was just bad.
I’ve had Caribbean food across numerous islands. I’ve had great Caribbean food in the GTA. The food at Kalysta tries to put a twist on things & it doesn’t work. Not only is the flavour lacking but the meat was dry, the rice was rubbery & even something as basic as plantains missed the mark.

La nourriture & les cocktails sont un pur régal. Même mes amis qui ne sont pas habitués à ce type de cuisine ont adoré & tout dévoré — Un vrai petit coup de cœur dans le quartier!

The tasting menu was an incredible & cost-effective way to try Kalysta for the first time. Everything was so tasty & the drinks were amazing! Definitely a fun evening here.
Excellent restaurant, proposition d'un menu de dégustation copieux & varié. Même mes enfants voulaient lui donner une bonne note. Délicieux cocktails pour compléter tout ça.
Je n'ai jamais voulu manger de boudin de ma (longue) vie. Hé bien, j'ai osé & j'en ai même repris! La cuisine est irrésistible; tout est bon, on peut piger dans le menu les yeux fermés. Mélange savant de traditions antillaises & d'exécution moderne. L'endroit & le personnel sont sympathiques. Les cocktails sont super. Une vraie découverte qui fait changement. Kalysta, on se reverra.
Superbe... nous avons aimés.., service impeccable, repas délicieux... ambiance agréable... décor chaleureux! Le serveuse qui est un professeur de jour, elle était merveilleuse.
Quelle belle découverte dans Rosemont! Tout y était! Ambiance décontractée, service impeccable, sélections de vins & de drinks parfaites & SURTOUT : des plats plus goûteux & riches les uns que les autres. La dorade est tout simplement parfaite. J'y retournerai très certainement avec des amis ou des enfants, il y en a pour tous les goûts. Un gros merci!!
