En juin 2017, Mario Durante et Gianni Iermieri, deux amis de longue date, décident de se lancer en affaires ensemble. Ils optent pour la reprise d’un café déjà existant afin d’en faire l’aboutissement d’un projet qu’ils partageaient depuis plusieurs années. Avec beaucoup de volonté et d’efforts, ils ouvrent enfin Kaffeteca.
Kaffeteca offre une grande variété d'options italiennes et un excellent café, avec des paninis, des soupes, des salades et des desserts qui varient selon les jours; les portions sont généreuses et les plats sont généralement frais et bien préparés. L'endroit est décrit comme chaleureux et accueillant, avec une ambiance conviviale qui en fait une halte déjeuner fiable du quartier, et le personnel sympathique ainsi que les plats du jour donnent une impression d'évolution constante. Quelques avis mentionnent des soucis ponctuels de service ou des moments d'insatisfaction, mais dans l'ensemble le café, l'ambiance et le menu solide encouragent les clients à revenir et à recommander Kaffeteca.
Small altercation with the owner for bringing in a sanwitch from Subway & being asked to leave despite making a 7$ purchase +$1 tip. I decided to put all that aside & come in for another coffee, The owner was kind to put that on the house. Highly recommended but did not try the food (yet).
This place is a Gem! The portions are big & filling. Everything here is really good! From coffee, soups, salads & sandwiches & they even have treats to satisfy your sweet tooth! I had the feta & sundried tomato pasta salad & Chicken cutlet panini!
Wonderful café with amazing service! We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, & the owner was kind enough to welcome us & made me a smoked salmon sandwich from scratch & it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was cozy, the food was fresh, & the service was genuinely thoughtful. We really enjoyed our visit & will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

I really wanted to like this place because it's close to where I live but the service is just not good. I've been 3 times & the owner is just plain rude & unfriendly.
The coffee is good though but then again, so is Milano's & Parma. It's all about the service at the end of the day.

I was craving an Italian deli sandwich for a minute & I am glad I found Kaffeteca not too far from the West Island. The sandwich & salad were delicious, I have no complains, however I did knock 1 point down for their coffee. The flat white was slightly disappointing. They seem to have all the right equipment to churn out great tasting espressos.
This place feels like home. The owners are the friendliest, & the staff is always super happy & accommodating. They are the perfect neighborhood lunch stop, combining Italian classics with a Canadian twist. I have been here hundreds of times & cannot recommend it enough! The chef, Gianni, is constantly switching things up with different daily soups & salads so customers like myself don't get bored. They have ruined all other coffee places for me, as nothing compares to their Barista blend. Luckily, they do sell it so I get to drink it from home, but it's never the same. Nothing compares to Mario's cappuccinos!! If you're looking for a pizza or sandwich in Laval & want to support a family business with delicious food & incredible coffee, this is the place for you!

Food is fresh & affordable.Staff is very welcoming & accommodating. It is the perfect place to have a quick lunch & coffee,would highly recommend.

Tres joli petit café de quartier dans le coin de bergerac à Laval! Grande sélection de café, salade, pates, pizza & sandwich. Personnel souriant & accueillant 😌
