I went to this sushi restaurant after our bagel trip in Montreal. My friends chose the spot, & we had a nice lunch before heading to Quebec.

I remember it was a very cold day. Our bodies hadn't yet adapted to the bone chilling coolness of winter. Our hands were freezing, & it was hard to find a parking spot. After driving around for ages 😂, we finally found one & walked to the restaurant.

From the outside, it looked quite modest. But stepping inside felt like turning back time. I saw all my favorite childhood anime characters everywhere.

The restaurant was full & pretty busy, mostly with locals, it seemed. It didn't take long for us to be seated. The ordering process was straightforward: it's an AYCE, so you can place your order through the app.

The side dishes were good, & the sushi was delicious. The sashimi portions were small but fresh. I didn't eat much since I was mainly there for the anime theme, but my friends ate a ton 🥰. The prices were great, too.
Service was fast & friendly.

K2 Bistro is an absolute delight! The sushi is incredibly tasty, with an impressive variety that keeps me coming back for more. I had an amazing experience at K2 Bistro! The tasty sushi selection was truly impressive, with fresh ingredients & a variety of flavors that kept me coming back for more. I've always been a fan of their other unit (Manga Bistro) & K2 does not disappoint. The decor is AMAZING, you feel immersed in the Studio Ghibli universe. The staff is friendly & helpful, quick service & food is just as delicious. I'll come back for sure!

The rolls were lovely, the variety was great & the decor was even better. We barely waited on our food (I waited a bit long for my soup, but otherwise, incredibly fast & diligent service). If you can, reserve on the second floor (that's where most of the cool memorabilia & decor is). Even if you are given a first floor table, you get transported into the Studio Ghibli universe. A must try for a date night or a hangout with friends.
