If u r a tourist, doesn't care much about authentic Chinese food, cares more about chilling at a bar over overpriced food, fine.
But as a Chinese who cares about food, it would be stupid to EAT there again. I have no issue with it's service & environment. While for the food, it's basically a westernized bar serving FAKE Chinese dishes. To make the matter worse, it's stupidly overpriced & tasting boring. 3 chicken wings costed 27$ + tax & NO rice ! How lucrative is that? & want rice? Sure, 5$ a tiny bowl! How about other things? Yea, 4 fried dumplings for $20 🤯I've been to countless bars serving foods, but rarely had I had foods so overpriced in such places.
Went there with my friends for a birthday dinner. Everyone was happy with the food they got & personaly I think the food was amazing! It wasn't super busy because I think we went too early, but for us it was perfect since we could hear each other talk & didn't have to scream! Will go back for sure
Have been wanting to go here forever & I am quite disappointed.
To start off we got there at 8:15 & it was completely empty, I later came to the conclusion that it only got busy the later it got.
We got sat at the only secluded spot in the restaurant.
We all got plates to share. We ordered the fried calamari, chinatown crispy shrimp, edamame, beef gyoza, beef & broccoli, chicken wings & the filet mignon chow mein. Everything was very hit or miss.
The fried calamari tasted like fish with a super thick coat of batter. It just did not taste like squid at all. The shrimp also had the exact same taste, I find. The beef & broccoli was good, alongside the chicken wings & edamame which were amazing. The beef gyoza was meh. The filet mignon chow mein could've been good, but the meat tasted extremely strange.
It got busier & busier as the night progressed. In terms of service, it was just ok.
