Un nouveau owner, un nouveau desing, c'est toujours un bon endroit calme pour étudier, manger, ou même rencontrer ses amis. Je conseille fortement ce café que je fréquente depuis des années. ❤️❤️ une petite remarque : Je pense qu'il y a eu un changement dans les ingrédients de la moka glacé depuis quelques semaines, elle n'est plus comme avant.
I recently tried the new Pistachio Mocha at Java U & wasn't a fan of the taste. To my surprise, it was served hot, even though I was expecting a cold beverage.
Le regard de la demoiselle à la caisse quand j'ai payé sans laisser de pourboire (car elle m'a offert aucun service a part me faire payer mes articles ) ne me donne vraiment pas envie d'y retourne
Pros: Friendly staff, they try to provide good service. Con: There is a constant turn-over of staff & the new trainees frequently mess up orders. I ordered a Creamscicle latte today & received a Caramel latte that was GROSSLY sweet. Disgusting. This sort of thing happens often. The sandwich's are good, but very overpriced. Nothing to recommend here.

A franchise operation on Cote-des-Neiges, a few hundred feet from the Metro stop with the same name, it's a safe bet for something quick & easy like a sandwich, coffee, salad, etc. I had a Greek salad & a muffin. They both tasted okay. The flavored iced tea was the hit, unusually good for the context. Service was okay, nothing special, but the cleanliness of the establishment top notch, even the tabletops. Lots of seating (some bench seat upholstery was tattered), not much of a dinner crowd, no annoying music blaring. Overall, a good place to hang, Google, grab a quick bite.
Le meilleur service c'est Amélie qui le donne. Toujours accueillante avec un sourire, un ton poli & d'une rapidité dépareillée, à elle seule, elle gère très bien cette succursale. En tout cas, elle est meilleure que les deux filles qui passent leur temps à placoter & qui sont d'une lenteur extrême.
Je suis une cliente régulière de ce café. Le staff est top & très gentil (y compris le manager). Par contre, la direction n'est pas terrible. Le big boss a décidé d'enlever les tasses & de ne faire que des gobelets jetables (merci pour l'écologie!) & ce, malgré une pétition avec beaucoup de pages pour remettre les tasses. Le boss l'a simplement enlevée ne prenant pas en considération les demandes de ses clients. Pareil pour le pourboire, ça fait un moment que les clients demandent à ce que la machine à carte puisse proposer les tips, mais le big boss n'en a rien à faire! Concernant la nourriture, avant le manager préparait sur place avec amour pour ses clients, mais big boss en a décidé autrement. En résumé, ce café ne tient que grâce à son manager & ses serveurs qui sont adorables!! alors que la direction devrait se remettre en question & plus penser aux désirs de ses clients qu'à rester figé sur ses idées marketing dépassées.
