Il Pazzesco has been noticed and appreciated by Montreal gourmets since it was founded in 1991 by brothers Michele and Mario Lapadula. Following the expansion and renovation in the winter of 2001, the restaurant is divided into two separate rooms, one of which has a dance floor. You can reserve either one of the rooms for more privacy, and the same attentive service.
In May 2002 the daily newspaper “La Presse” described Il Pazzesco as being a discovery in Anjou (découverte à Anjou.)

food so mid: the'focaccia' is flatbread pizza - not great, the penne arrabiata was not spicy at all, watery too (saw it swishing as waiter put plate down)
if you like average italian food & enjoy overpaying, this is the spot for you!

Mon restaurant italien préféré à Montréal. Les chefs sont italiens ainsi que les serveurs, tout le monde est gentil & attentionné, les pâtes sont'al dente', les pizzas croquantes, les viandes & les poissons parfaits.

Sortie de garderie improvisée aujourd'hui : notre petit voulait une pizza. On a cherché une pizzeria de quartier sur Google Maps, sans grandes attentes, & on est tombés sur Il Pazzesco.
Situé dans un petit stationnement sur une rue passante, rien ne laissait présager ce petit bijou. On débarque, habillés comme des parents en fin de shift, deux enfants en vrac… & pourtant : accueil impeccable, service attentionné, aucune condescendance malgré le chaos familial.
Côté bouffe, le tartare de saumon était un modèle de simplicité maîtrisée, aucune fioriture inutile, juste le goût qu'il faut. La pieuvre ? Franchement excellente. Pour le reste, on s'est contentés de pâtes & de pizza, excellentes elles aussi, mais j'ai comme l'impression qu'on a raté les véritables vedettes du menu.
Bref, une superbe découverte, qu'on a déjà hâte de revisiter. Souvent.
So disappointed, as the pizza was the only place I would order, & unfortunately the sauce of the pizza is not like usual, taste like a can tomato sauce.. So disappointing!!! Hope they fix that problem…
Je suis client depuis 1992 que ce soit les anciens propriétaires qui étais sur la coche au nouveaux qui on su garder la base du restaurant & surtout améliorer le service je me régale toujours que ce soit pour une pizza ou un autre plat. Que je sois au comptoir de livraison ou au restaurant avec un excellent service, je suis & j'espère être toujours aussi satisfait de leur qualité de plat & service. Bonne continuité
I was recommended to try their pizza. We had fried calamari for entree & for the price & portion, pretty disappointed. As for the pizza ( we had sausage with rapini & frutta di mare, it was ok but I had better). I have to say however that I saw they had Trippa so I will give trippa a try ( I am a big trippa lover). Let's see if their trippa will meet my expectations ( maybe trippa with polenta? ) Cheers!
Even though we walked in wearing our work clothes after a day of sanding floors, we were welcomed with open arms & treated like VIPs. Each dish looked like a typical portion size, but halfway through, we realized just how hearty & satisfying it was. The taste? Absolutely jaw-dropping. Every bite was rich, authentic, & worth every penny. By the time we got halfway, we were already full This was my first time at an authentic Italian restaurant, & after tonight, I know I'll be back. **Restaurant Il Pazzesco : Une Expérience Italienne Inoubliable** En tant qu'amateur de cuisine italienne, j'ai récemment découvert le Restaurant Il Pazzesco à Montréal. Fondé en 1991 par les frères Michele & Mario Lapadula, Il Pazzesco a su se faire remarquer & apprécier des gastronomes montréalais. L'ambiance du restaurant est chaleureuse & accueillante. Les deux salles à manger offrent une expérience intime, & le service est impeccable. Voici ce que j'ai particulièrement apprécié : 1. **Menu Varié :** Il Pazzesco propose une variété de plats allant des pâtes aux grillades en passant par les fruits de mer & les pizzas. Leur "Raw bar" est également un incontournable. 2. **Qualité des Plats :** J'ai opté pour des pâtes aux fruits de mer, & elles étaient fraîches & savoureuses. Les portions sont généreuses, & chaque bouchée était un régal. 3. **Service Attentionné :** Le personnel est courtois & attentif. Ils connaissent bien le menu & sont prêts à répondre à toutes vos questions. 4. **Options Sensibles au Gluten :** Pour les personnes ayant des restrictions alimentaires, Il Pazzesco propose des options sans gluten, ce qui est un énorme avantage. 5. **Desserts Maison :** Ne manquez pas leurs desserts maison ! J'ai craqué pour le tiramisu, & c'était divin. En ce qui concerne les horaires, le restaurant est ouvert du lundi au dimanche, avec des heures d'ouverture flexibles². Je recommande vivement Il Pazzesco pour une soirée italienne mémorable ! 😊
Authentic tasting pizza. I've ordered pizza from Il Pazzesco 3 times already & they never disappoint. The all dressed pizza is delicious, thin crispy crust & the ingredients are very fresh. Can't comment on the atmosphere as I have not dined in.

First, I want to say how much I enjoyed the food ! For entry, I had the calamari, mussels, & Ceasar's salad. For the main course, I took the Sopressata pizza & also got a chance to try their salmon tartare, tortellini rosé & lamb dish. I ate like a queen ! I have to say, the pizza is hands down the best I ate in a long time. The crust was cooked to perfection. The sauce, cheese, & toppings were plenty enough. The lamb just melted in my mouth. The tortellini was deliciously creamy, & the tartare with avocado was fresh. Every dish had its own unique flavor.
I went there for a birthday party, we were a group of 10 so we took many options to try different things & it was great. The service was friendly, & the servers worked as a team to provide us with a quality dining experience. Although there were times when it was slow, it's to be expected for a large group, not to mention that the restaurant was full. The overall atmosphere was enjoyable, with music playing in the background. I recommend trying this place, & I will definitely go back.
