Il Pazzesco has been noticed and appreciated by Montreal gourmets since it was founded in 1991 by brothers Michele and Mario Lapadula. Following the expansion and renovation in the winter of 2001, the restaurant is divided into two separate rooms, one of which has a dance floor. You can reserve either one of the rooms for more privacy, and the same attentive service.
In May 2002 the daily newspaper “La Presse” described Il Pazzesco as being a discovery in Anjou (découverte à Anjou.)

Absolutely an amazing place to dine!!! The food was fresh & delicious & the service was excellent!!! They serve a delicious focaccia with sauce & olives to start & all the pasta dishes & mussels we tried were heavenly!!! I would highly recommend dining here! It was a beautiful experience & I cannot wait to go back! Also the tiramisu & pistachio cheese cake were amazing!!!
As a long time Gnocchi enthusiast, I spent decades enjoying Gnocchi in Italy & all around the globe. There are many good Gnocchi, but few superlative ones. Few. Restaurant Il Pazzesco's Gnocchi is one of those few superlatives ones. A Gnocchi that dreams are made of! The Gnocchi is superlative here, the rest of the food is great too (loved the classic & yet dynamic flavor profile of the polpette, that lamb I wish I could not stop eating, so delicious that was. & I could go on & on like that, with just praises because it is deserved), the service is superb. I really felt as if I was in Italy. Anjou you have a gem & I would drive from anywhere to eat here. Grazie mille!
food so mid: the'focaccia' is flatbread pizza - not great, the penne arrabiata was not spicy at all, watery too (saw it swishing as waiter put plate down)
if you like average italian food & enjoy overpaying, this is the spot for you!
(im sure other options are better but based on what i had this is my rating)
