Pizza donuts, cartoons, & arcades. Fun concept.

Stumbled on this place hunting for late night sweets. The shop looked pretty cool. One side dedicated entirely to retro gaming machines, & people were actually using them.

The regular donut section looked standard. Frosted, glazed, the usual Boston cream. But they had pizza donuts. You pick a topping & sauce combo from about eight flavors, & my friend & I got the pistachio pesto along with two of the flavored donuts (the Homer Donut & a cookies & cream).

The regular donuts were solid. Soft base, nice chew. But the pizza donut was a nice surprise. I'd heard about this trend a few years back & wasn't sold on it, but once the donut went back in the oven for a few minutes with the sauce & toppings, it turned incredibly pillowy. I usually want a more rigid carb base under savory toppings like these, but this worked. Kind of like a reheated savory croissant, except better.

Super disappointing. Tried them for the first time last night. Had a glazed & dulce & both were stale / dry & flavourless. They both ended up in the trash.

At least the cashier was friendly

Les beignets sucrés sont bien, plein de choix & ils sont bien garnit. J'ai voulu tester les beignet pizza & j'ai pas été convaincu, le mélange sucré salé était un super.

A bit pricey but fantastic doughnuts!
The Pistachio one was amazing. Plenty of options & designs. I am curious how the fried chicken sandwhich would taste - I will return to try it!

Wow les beignes valent clairement le hype, j'ai tardé à les essayer, car j'avais peur qu'ils soit trop sucrés & finalement toute une surprise!
