HELM (which is an acronym for Houblon (Hops), Eau (Water), Levure (Yeast) & Malt) is an unpretentious brew-pub which promotes quality and local products in an urban setting. Aside from the in-house brewed beer, we also offer a wide selection of Quebec cider and American wines. We also offer a simple cuisine featuring fresh ingredients. Its decor, both rough and refined, its big, central bar, the lights are what makes HELM a friendly place, perfect for discussing and meeting with friends.
HELM microbrasserie is a welcoming spot with a warm vibe, standout beers and thoughtful food, where a friendly team and relaxed atmosphere make it easy to spend a great evening with friends; the beer list offers creative flavors, the decor is simple and inviting, and the terrace and dog friendly policy add to the appeal, while occasional busy periods may slow service but staff stay accommodating and welcoming.
The burger & fries were great, imo much better than what one would normally expect in a pub. Didn't had local beer so can't comment much here. The service is good. For the atmosphere minus one for a strange toilet configuration with & a table near it... you'll understand if you see it. But otherwise will definitely visit again.
I didn't get food, was stopping for a beer. They are brewed here, but the choice of kind of beers available at the moment was disappointing. I took an IPA, that was not exceptional, nor memorable, but good.
Quality beers are found there. Delicious chicken wings & vibes. The establisment screams quality!
However, the poutine, despite having excellent fries & delectable sauce, severely lacks cheese in quality (melting & non-squeeking) & quantity. Best to avoid this meal until they fix it. The burger looks good though!
Great selection of beers & great atmosphere. Very friendly staff & explained the beer choices very well. We tried many of their beers; La crème Du mile end(light but must try) & Koala were our favourites.

The beers were delicious, but the nachos were very disappointing despite being named after the bar. They were cold when we got them, soggy on the bottom, & looked thrown together haphazardly. Whole cilantro stems, some nachos without any toppings, & others buried under a sea of raw tomato & corn. Fine for 5$, not for 22$.
Service was average, atmosphere bustling & pleasant. Decent, but I don't think this is the five star experience everyone raves about. Maybe we got unlucky with food last night.
Atmosphere was great, awesome beers & the food was really great. Service was on point despite a busy night. I do recommend booking a table to be sure they have place.

The burger is good - & that's about all I can say that's positive. The fries were soggy, Cesar salad was the worst I've ever had at a restaurant (small, some brown lettuce leaves, virtually no dressing), & for a place reputed for its beer they somehow have only one NA option, & an import at that (offer a local BSA or something!). A little more on the pricy side, too, for what you get.
