The tasting menus and wine pairings are regularly highlighted for balance and creativity, with standout dishes such as octopus, cod, caldo verde, and bacalhau. While a few notes mention high prices and the indulgent nature of tasting portions, the overall experience is described as memorable and well worth returning for. Port wines and thoughtfully chosen cocktails complement the courses, and many reviewers say Helena captures the spirit of Portugal in Montreal.
Incredibly attentive & friendly staff & the most excellent meal you will have in a while! Everything was outstanding. I had the gazpacho to start & the Alaskan black cod followed. It was so delicate surrounded by a silky sweet potato mash that was so delectable that I wiped my plate down with some bits of bread to not leave anything behind. It was phenomenal. Bravo!

Very good dinner & service. We shared the asparagus salad, & seafood plate for 2 & they were both excellent. Good wine list, & my girlfriend enjoyed her cocktail as well.
