Havre aux Glaces earns praise for its high quality ice cream with strong natural fruit flavors and a broad sorbet lineup, including lactose free options that feel refreshing. Flavors are described as well balanced and not overly sweet, with recommendations for matcha, lemon and coffee. Reviewers note the shop is well located on Rue Sainte Catherine and that the offering is consistent at both the street location and the market location. Price and portion sizes are frequently mentioned, with many saying the prices are high for relatively small portions. Hours and openings can be confusing, as Google listings sometimes show hours that do not match actual closures. Service experiences vary, with many describing staff as friendly while a minority report rude or stingy service. Overall, Havre aux Glaces is seen as a top ice cream spot in Montreal and a go to for visitors and locals alike.
a lot better than any other super commercial ice creams. they have a whole line of sorbets (so lactose free) which are really refreshing & a good change for a while. also, ate both on this location & the market one & quality is the same
Very delicious gelato, mainly because it's not awfully sweet & you can actually taste the flavor. I really recommend matcha, lemon & coffee! Go here every time i'm in Montreal, it's truly a great spot
My all time favorite ice cream spot! The ice cream is delicious, although I have notice that the employees tend to be rude. I have been coming to this shop for a few years & always noticed their rude demeanor, however the ice cream is worth it 👌
Les glaces sont bonnes. Les quantités sont trop petites. Les prix sont trop élevés. Le service est cheap. L'employée remet une partie de ma portion dans le gros pot... c'est tout sauf généreux.
