Had a really good time at Hakka grill in Montreal. It has a fine dining ambience, something that was missing in the Halal food segment of Montreal. We ordered their Chicken chow mein noodles, which were loved by the kids.
Their dynamite shrimps were divine. The chef special soup was piping hot & flavourful.
For the main entree we had sesame chicken & sweet n sour chicken. The service was quick & friendly. We had the chocolate mousse cake for dessert & it was divine.
Definitely a new favourite spot. Do give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
The restaurant has potential, & I really appreciate that the food is halal. However, I was a bit disappointed with the overall taste. The meat seemed slightly pre-cooked & lacked freshness, & the chow mein tasted more like spaghetti with soy sauce. With a few improvements to flavor & preparation, it could be much better.
The food was okay overall - nothing particularly special. The Dynamite Chicken was quite nice, but the Chef's Special Chow Mein was disappointing - it tasted cold, old, & not fresh at all.
The only real positive is that the restaurant serves halal food, which is appreciated. Other than that, I didn't find much to enjoy.
I'm visiting from out of province & was hoping to try something special, but I left quite disappointed. I'm honestly not sure why this place is so highly praised.
On a fêté un anniversaire là-bas. C'était parfait. Le propriétaire & les employés sont chaleureux & accueillants. Ils nous ont fournis tout ce dont nous avions besoin, pour faire de cet événement un succès. La nourriture est fraîche & délicieuse, l'ambiance est agréable. Ce restaurant est unique en son genre, une trouvaille. Continuez!👌🏻
Shrimp starter, manchurian, chilli,etc are all authentic halal. Finally Montreal has a true Hakka style restaurant. Requested the owner to open one in West Island

After having soup-dumplings couple of days before, we wanted to try other types of'Chinese' cusine.
Looking at the reviews, we decided to try this place.
We got'vegetarian chow mein' &'chlli chiken'.
We were MOST DISAPPOINTED', with both the dishes.
The food itself does not deserve even a SINGLE star.
I've rated 2 stars, just because the service was good.
The food is is NOT worth what they are charging.
