We went in with a party of seven-there's supposed to be a 15% discount for six people, but we didn't get it. Instead, the manager tacked on a 15% tip by himself. Quebec just changed the law (Bill 72, as of May 7, 2025) that tip suggestions have to be based on the pre-tax amount-not the total with GST & QST-but they charged it on the full amount anyway. I'm still waiting to hear why.

It seems there may have been a misunderstanding. Please note that we are not offering any discounts. As clearly indicated on the notice posted at the main entrance and at the counter, a 15% gratuity is automatically added for groups of six or more. This is not a tip, but a standard service charge. Additionally, according to Quebec law, tips should be charged separately and calculated before GST and QST. I have already reached out to you via Instagram and have also provided my contact number. All in all an amazing place! Came to Montreal from Toronto & was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this Hakka food! If this place were in Toronto I'd be a regular! Very tasty food, comfortable atmosphere & friendly staff! Would definitely recommend 😁!!!!

This establishment has amazing food. I had the General Tao chicken & my husband had the Chilli chicken both with the fried rice. The food, tasty & came quickly, presentation amazing. The place is very clean, I was extremely impressed when I sat down, the drinking glasses were covered, utensils were in a case, all this for cleanliness. Service was great & atmosphere was bright & pleasant. I'd visit again.

Absolutely incredible experience at Hakka Grill Chinese Restaurant in Mount Royal, Montreal! From the moment we walked in, the vibe & atmosphere were warm, welcoming, & full of good energy. The owner even came out from the back to personally greet us-such a nice touch!

Our food came out within minutes, & we were genuinely impressed by how fast everything was prepared. & the taste? 10 out of 10, no question. Every bite was delicious & full of flavour.

Big shoutout to the TikTokers out there supporting small businesses-this is exactly how we discovered this hidden gem. We're so glad we came out to try it. If you're in the area, do yourself a favour & check this place out. You won't be disappointed!
