Disappointing Mother's Day Experience - A'Mickey Mouse' Operation
We visited for Mother's Day, hoping for a special meal given we had a reservation well in advance. Unfortunately, while the food itself was actually quite good, the experience was completely overshadowed by a staggering lack of professionalism & preparation.
The Service & Atmosphere
The word'disorganized' doesn't quite cover it. Despite knowing exactly how many people were coming due to reservations, the restaurant was catastrophically under-stocked. Shortly after ordering, several items were flagged as unavailable. To make matters worse, twenty minutes **after** we placed our order, the waiter returned to tell us they actually couldn't fulfill one of the dishes we had selected.
As we sat there, the situation devolved. New groups arriving with reservations were informed that about half the menu was now unavailable. The staff's excuse? They'only just realized' they were out of food. It is mind-boggling that a professional establishment wouldn't anticipate the necessary inventory for one of the busiest dining days of the year.
The service was incredibly slow, & our waiter never once checked in to acknowledge the delay or offer an update. On top of the logistical mess, the cleanliness of the restaurant was subpar; the dining area felt neglected & dirty, which is never a good sign.
The Food
When the food finally arrived, it was tasty & well-prepared. However, it was significantly overpriced for what it was. No matter how good a dish tastes, it's hard to justify premium prices when you're eating in a dirty environment with amateur-level management.
Final Verdict
This is a'Mickey Mouse' operation at best. If you have a reservation, you expect a level of basic competence that this place simply cannot provide. Save your money & go somewhere that values its customers & understands basic inventory management.
Atmosphere was average, the service is lacking my but the food is good. The food was fresh & flavorful. The calamari was on point, along with the cheese sticks. The mains were well plated but the rice wasn't very good. I would suggest a different option, their house salad dressing was light & tasty. That's a good option. The food is very food.
I had an excellent experience yesterday at Grill Select. The young Persian gentleman who helped us was incredibly polite, patient, & attentive. As someone with gluten-free & dairy-free restrictions, I really appreciated how helpful he was in guiding me through the menu & making sure my food was prepared properly. The service was warm, professional, & genuinely caring. Thank you for making the experience so enjoyable.
I recommend this nice place because it's a Greek/Persian delicious food & the staff are amazing & if you have any questions about the food they explain it well.

Went for a great supper w family. I tried the koubideh plate , which was very delicious. 2waiters for the restaurant that was busy & they did a great job at service. Great Persian resto , will def go back
We visited on Easter Sunday, & this was I believe our fourth time there with the family. Every single visit has been a great experience. everyone always loves what they order.
I personally stick to the Persian dishes, & the meat is always incredibly tender & full of flavor. Other family members have tried items from the Greek section & other parts of the menu, & everyone has always been very happy with their meals.
It's a small, family-owned restaurant. The service is consistently good, & it's a bring-your-own-wine spot, which is always a nice bonus.
Definitely a place we keep coming back to!
Craving persian food, I went for take out , one order of Kebab Koobideh & a Greek salad.
I was not impressed at all! The rice was cold/wet as if old & reheated, the Koobideh were thick tasteless & chewey as if also reheated.
Very disappointed to say the least - $27.59

I love it here. Such amazing food for a really fair price. We go here a couple of times a month, & it never disappoints.
The staff is so sweet too. We went last week & were seated & served- then our baby woke up cranky from a nap & we asked for it to go instead. Without any issues, the server packed it up for us with a smile. She is always so kind.
I really enjoyed my experience at the restaurant, the atmosphere, service & food quality were great & I was very impressed by the new items on their menu like the ribs.
It's highly recommended.
This restaurant is very clean.
Staff is professional & friendly.
We had koobideh, barg & joojeh, all were so juicy & delicious. For the quality, I can say it's one of the best persian food in Montreal.

La bouffe est absolument exceptionnelle ! Les viandes, autant le poulet que le veau, sont parfaitement relevées d'épices & tout simplement hors pair. & que dire du calamar frit : il fondait littéralement dans la bouche !
I ordered'Gohrme Sabzi' Surprisingly low quality & small portion. Tghey were not like this before. If they told me they had not it for that day, it would be better. I could order sth else!
Great people & they take care of your orders & look after you well when you visit or order at the restaurant. Family run with great family like value that cares for all.
That was a very nice surprised. A very humble store front with amazing food. The great reviews reflect the place.
We ordered select 3 for take out & they did not disappointed, I had one of the best meals of my life (& I'm a picky foodie). Our little gem closed to home, just wished I found it sooner. Heads-up : Friday is very busy so expect 45 minutes wait (so order earlier).
