Reviews paint Greektown Grill as a lively, welcoming spot that serves authentic Greek cuisine with fresh ingredients, generous portions and good value. Diners repeatedly praise dishes such as calamari, grilled octopus, gyro, pita, lemon potatoes, moussaka, pork souvlaki and pikilia, noting flavors are vibrant, well seasoned and reminiscent of traditional Greek cooking. The atmosphere is described as warm and casual with attentive, friendly service, and many guests also commend the restaurant's catering for large groups and events. While the majority express high satisfaction, some notes point to crowded spaces, occasional noise and sporadic service delays during peak times, and a few menu items receiving mixed reviews. Still, takeout and dine-in are both favored and the West Island location is frequently highlighted as a solid choice for Greek cuisine with portions that satisfy. Overall Greektown Grill is regarded as a top pick for authentic, flavorful Greek food, friendly service, and a welcoming vibe, with opportunities to improve space management and consistency at busy times.
Had a Christmas coworker dinner at the Greektown Grill in DDO! Food was delectable, service was friendly & helpful. We ordered up 3 sharing platters that we thoroughly enjoyed & even took some home. The quality of the food & desserts was amazing. Will definitely go back! Dale

I ordered using the online tool. I asked for one of the pitas to have no onions or tomatoes. It came with both. The Moussaka was dry & the portion we received for $19 was ridiculously small. The loose gyro was passable but on the dry side. I would not recommend this place because it is overpriced for what you receive in return.
Our second time here & we love it. Great establishment & cozy. The service is amazing & the food is excellent. Started with a pitcher of sangria, saganaki, fried calamari. My main meal was the gyro platter & my husband had the spasti chicken platter. We finished off with the ekmek kataifi. Everything was so yummy!
My husband & I went last night for a date night & we had the best service! The waiter was very attentive & helped us understand the menu. The food was delicious! The place is cozy.

This place exceeded my expectations! Everything was cooked with love. I believe it was the owner who greeted us & explained how everything was carefully sourced from farms & how they cooked everything fresh right down to squeezing lemons. He also said no preservatives, nothing from concentrate the meat had no hormones! I can honestly say you can taste the difference. Food portions were generous, too. We instantly felt like we were a part of the family, & they cared about us. If I could, I would give them 10 stars (5 extra bonus ones just for all the passion they put into their cooking!)
Amazing place. We arranged a lunch for 40 people (including a bunch of teens) attending a hockey tournament nearby. George set us up with family style salads, meat plates, rice & potatoes The food was delicious. Service was fast & friendly. We only had an hour & George had us in & out on time. Highly recommend for large groups or small. Thanks!
Today was our 2nd time at this fairly new restaurant. First time was super good, a bit pricy but a very enjoyable meal. Today turned out to be a bit disappointing. My dill & feta salad had barely no dressing at all & my moussaka was good but was lacking flavors. We asked for a small container of tzatziki, which on the online menu clearly shows $3 for a small cup. I've asked Peter, the very nice waiter, for a small container & we were charged $8 for using 2tsp of it. Very disappointed. We will not go back for a long time. It's too bad as we had high expectations of this restaurant.
I just had a wonderful lunch at Greektown Grill. It was my first visit, & it was a fabulous experience! Everything was so delicious, & the manager, Jason, was very welcoming. Lovely atmosphere. I'll be back!

WOW! We celebrated my father's birthday & had such a great time! As someone who grew up with my Greek YIAYIA'S (grandmother) home cooked meals, I can tell you the food was 10/10! Each meal was absolutely delicious & a big shoutout to Jason, the manager / waiter who was super kind, welcoming & friendly! Already looking forward to going back with my friends for girls night !!! Thank you again 👏
Lovely place with an authentic Greek theme & even better quality food. The young staff is respectable, filled with vitality & super professional. I come by every week & the quality is consistent & the ambience is joyful. Don't miss out on the best Greek joint in DDO. Big shoutout to John, Luca, Jaison & the rest of the ambitious staff running the place.
Amazing dining experience at Greektown Grill DDO ! Went for a late lunch & had the most delicious pork gyro loose meat ever ! Chicken souvlaki stick was tender & flavorable, & Tia-Yia's Greek potatoes were super tasty &!plentiful. We also ordered some taramosalata dip, which went perfectly with their toasted bread & potatoes. For a finale, we sampled their walnut cake which was served with ample honey & cinnamon, & a scoop of ice cream. What a great feast for a Thursday afternoon ! Fantastic fast & friendly service from Peter, & a warm welcome from manager Costa. On previous visits, we've had excellent lamb chops & their deep fried zucchini appetizer. Definitely worth multiple visits 👍
