Greektown Grill serves authentic Mediterranean cuisine centered on traditional charcoal-grilled meats and fresh seafood preparations. The menu features classic staples such as souvlaki, gyro, and tender calamari, all seasoned with signature herbs and lemon-based marinades. Patrons select from varied protein options that highlight the inherent simplicity of Aegean culinary techniques. Side dishes consist of crisp Greek salads, creamy tzatziki, and warm pita bread prepared to accompany robust main plates. The interior environment focuses on functionality and efficiency, providing a straightforward space suitable for direct interaction with prepared food items. Every dish prioritizes high-quality sourcing to ensure consistency across its diverse selection of grilled specialties and maritime offerings.
Greektown Grill is widely celebrated for its authentic and delicious Mediterranean cuisine, with many diners praising the freshness of the ingredients and the generous portion sizes. Standout dishes like the calamari, lamb, and chicken souvlaki frequently impress guests, often drawing comparisons to traditional home-cooked meals. Beyond the food, the restaurant is frequently noted for its warm and inviting atmosphere, where the staff are often described as professional, friendly, and attentive. Whether guests are visiting for a special birthday celebration, a casual lunch, or a large catered event, the team is consistently highlighted for going above and beyond to provide a welcoming experience. While some diners mention that the restaurant can become quite busy and loud during peak hours, most agree that it is a top-tier destination for high-quality Greek dining.
My recent visit to Greektown Grill was an excellent experience overall. The food was flavorful, well-executed, & truly satisfying-everything you'd expect from quality Greek cuisine.
Portion sizes were notably generous, leaving us with plenty to take home, which adds great value to the experience.
Service was slightly slower than usual, likely due to the Greek Easter rush & a full house, but the staff remained professional & attentive throughout.
A strong & reliable spot for authentic Greek food. I'll definitely be returning.
If you are looking for authentic Greek food. This is the place for you. Best time to go is 2-3pm before the dinner rush. Then you'd need reservations.
The calamari is the best ever, I've been to Fine Restaurants & nothing compares the taste, perfect.
Shout out to Jason our server, we will be back with friends.
From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. The staff here truly cares - you can feel it in every little detail, from the warm welcome at the door to the way each plate is presented with pride. The service is attentive without ever being overbearing, & it's clear that everyone genuinely wants you to enjoy your time.
& the food? Absolutely incredible. This is authentic Greek cuisine at its finest - rich flavors, fresh ingredients, & dishes that taste like they've been perfected over generations. Every bite transported us straight to the Mediterranean.
A special shoutout goes to Sophie at the bar. Not only did she serve us with such skill & attention, but she also made the evening extra memorable with her wonderful conversation. She has that rare mix of professionalism & warmth that makes you feel like an old friend by the end of the night.
This place is a true gem - amazing food, heartfelt service, & people like Sophie who make you want to come back again & again.
Greektown Grill is a fabulous representation of authentic Greek cuisine as far as I know it. They feature your Canadian favourites- souvlakis, gyros etc. as well as some plates you won't find at the casual Greek spots. Bit ashamed but I went for the former because I was just craving a nice pita for lunch. The space operates as a formal dine-in but the seating is set up in a casual atmosphere. The server was professional, effective & polite, I could tell he had worked at other restaurants in the past & knew his craft. Price point is medium, very slightly leaning upwards but depends on your order.
I have recently traveled to Greece & eaten a lot of real Greek food. In Montreal, I have also eaten at many of the Greek restaurants that consider themselves'authentic'.
This is not authentic. I find that it's geared towards the North American palate.
I had a lunch special that consisted of a pork Souvlaki Pita, Greek lemon potato wedges, a salad, & a soft drink. The potatoes were very good, the salad was ok, the Souvlaki not so much. The cubes of pork were tiny but tasty, there was hardly any tomato & all I asked for was no onion & tziziki on the side. The pita was pretty empty.
My friend, who recommended this place because she eats there often, had the Moussaka. She liked it.
Will I go back? Probably not. There are lots of Greek restaurants that are better.
If you're looking for delicious Greek cuisine, look no further! We had the pleasure of ordering takeout, & everything was fantastic. The service was superior & incredibly friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was fresh, flavorful, & absolutely delicious-definitely worth every bite. It's so great to finally have a place offering authentic Greek cuisine here in the West Island. Highly recommend it to anyone craving a taste of Greece!
Such a beautiful discovery! The food was beyond my expectations, truly authentic . I told the Chef I dreamt of the potatoes which did not disappoint. The staff, ambience everything was perfect. Can't wait to go back & try the moussaka, see you soon 👏👏🥰
