I had the Dak Balls Cupbap, which was Korean fried chicken pieces on rice with vegetables, an onsen egg & 2 fried dumplings. It was delicious. My husband had the kimchi & beef bulgogi poutine. It was a fun take on fusion cuisine. He enjoyed it. Decor is simple. Service was pleasant but was minimal. You order at the counter & pay. Then staff bring your food when it's ready.
Being an Indian, I really loved there korean food- fried chicken, budlak. Service was veey fast. Also try Suza-pineapple flavour. You gonna love this place. & it qas affordable as well.
I don't usually write Google reviews for restaurants, but I had such a nice dinner at Ganadara during my trip to Montreal that I felt like I should leave one.
I'm a Korean living in a small town in Canada, so I don't often go to Korean restaurants when I travel (I usually just cook at home). But my kids really wanted tteokbokki, so we stopped by Ganadara, & I'm so glad we did. The food was delicious, the place was clean, & the staff were kind. The owner even came out of the kitchen to say goodbye to us.
We loved the'poutine tteokbokki' so much that we ordered another one to go. Right after we left, some sauce leaked out because of a small mistake my son made. He went back in to ask for an extra bag, but instead of just giving him one, they completely repacked the food in a new container. It was so thoughtful, & we really appreciated it.
We also chatted with a Taiwanese couple who knew a little Korean sitting next to us, & it was also a really sweet & fun moment.
All in all, delicious food, kind people, & a warm experience. Highly recommend!
Really affordable, quick service, & nice Korean restaurant on Rue Mackay 😇😇 We started with shrimp tempura which was delicious & then moved onto Chicken Katsu & spicy chicken cupbap ❤?❤? Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get a quick bite to eat as the food is super delicious & the service very fast 🎉🎉
When you need Korean flavors fast & fuss-free, this little gem is the place to be.
Cozy & efficient, this spot always hits the mark when I'm craving quick, tasty Korean food. The portions are massive - you definitely get your money's worth. Perfect for a fast meal between classes, & they offer a convenient to-go option if you're in a rush.
It's my go-to place!
I cannot recommend the poutine enough! It was the perfect blend of the most delicious/classic Korean foods with fries & cheese ...... Heaven..
My favorite korean food place. Atmosphere is not that good, but customer service makes up for it. :)
Absolutely fantastic food at a very reasonable price. The chicken is amazing in all its forms & the poutines (especially the rice cake one) are an incredible mix of Korean & Quebec cuisine
Amazing food. I love Korean food & this place was so good, reasonable prices, food so full of flavour, the workers are so nice. I'm definitely going back to this place. (I had the kimchi bulgogi poutine & my partner had the chicken katsu curry)
Very delicious Korean food. Staff are very friendly. Will definitely come again when visiting Montreal
Nobody likes low-priced Korean food more than me, but it's pretty tight in there, & I'm skinny now! I lost 27 lbs!! Worth it if you get take-out.
On my friend's recommendation, I went to a Korean restaurant to eat bibimbap. The quality of the food was good, but it was not like the picture on the menu. I ordered chicken bibimbap & I had heard from my friend that it has a layer of rice, a layer of vegetables containing mushrooms, carrots, & other vegetables, & an egg. Fried. But my dish had soft-boiled eggs & no layer of vegetables, but there was a little salad on the side of my plate. Actually, my food is rice & chicken It was with special sauce & salad, & of course it was delicious & very spicy.
Heard great things about this place & was excited to try it out when I started Uni in this area. They closed down & I thought that was it. But they reopened a while after & the wait was worth it. Definitely the best Korean Food place I know & best of all, it's definitely one of the cheapest. Been a regular for a while now & the staff are all very polite, & the food has consistently been phenomenal. Whoever picks out the music in the restaurant has good taste too.
This seems like an authentic Korean place & it was near to where I was staying while in Montreal. If you can't take spice, do stay away from the spicy dishes! If you like spice, this is great! I tried the spicy Soondubu & it was spicy. I thought there was a little too much oil (chilli oil?) in the soup too. You'll need to crack the raw egg over your hot soup when it arrives. Despite it being too spicy, it was good comfort food. I will return again but probably try something less spicy. :) There aren't many seats in there so you might need to get it to go if it's full.
