The food was amazing. It brought back my childhood memories of my Nona's cooking. The staff was very nice. I live a few hours away but will def go back for that authentic Italian touch of love in the food. Big thanks to all the staff for greeting us so well.

My family & I loooved this place. The server was nice & kind, we spoke a bit of Spanish & Italian during the meal which was fun (to me at least). Bread was warm & delicious, salad was good too, & the main dishes were amazing. We got the lasagna, the spaghetti frutti di mare, & ossobuco pasta. We celebrated our 25th anniversary at Restaurant Gallo Nero, & it was fantastic!! The ambiance was perfect for our special night, & the staff went above & beyond with their warm, attentive service. The food was superb, with standout dishes that showcased authentic Italian flavors. Highly recommend for a special occasion!

Best Italian restaurant in Montreal. Only restaurant my Nonno & Nonna go to so you know it's good. Been going for special occasions longer than I can remember. Recommend to anyone willing to make the trip to the east end. Easy to get to with public transit (Cadillac metro & 32 or 132 bus to corner of Jarry & Lacordaire). Staff is very friendly & welcoming. 5 stars across the board.

I ate here this weekend for a big get together for my cousin's confirmation. Nothing negative to say about this place! EXCELLENT authentic Italian food & great service with a smile! The stuffed pasta as well as the cavatelli with spinach was great & the veal rib chop was mouth watering! Cooked to perfection...still juicy & full of flavor! The decor was pretty nice as well & looked like it was recently renovated, although it's my first time here so I can't say for sure. We were seated in the first section of the restaurant near the entrance, but on the other side was a much bigger area with a beautifully lit up bar. If you're a coffee person, you've got to try their espresso!

Overall very pleasant dining experience. Would definitely recommend trying this place out!
