Excellent food & excellent service.
It is very spacious with a lot of tables, you need to walk up a flight of stairs in a dirty hallway. Fortunately, the food is worth it.
On s'attendais à un service moyen vue les commentaire mais hier on a eu un service excellent d'un monsieur. On étais une table de 11 personne venant pour diner, les plats sont quand même sortie rapidement malgré qu'on n'a pas pris le dim sum du midi. Merci bcp au monsieur qui nous a servi, super comique comme serveur!

If you decide to try Chinese food at this place, the food will be a pleasant surprise, & the portions are generous. Unfortunately, the whole experience is severely affected by the staff's service: you have to wait a long time just to place your order & again to receive it. To make matters worse, their attitude about how much tip you give leaves a bitter taste at the end of your visit.
Very disappointing experience at Maison Foo Lam.
Food was okay, but the service ruined everything. It took a long time just to take our order even though the place wasn't busy.
The worst part was at payment-after I added a tip manually, the cashier immediately called it out & said it was incorrect. That felt rude & uncomfortable. Tipping is not mandatory, & being pressured like that is unacceptable.
I actually intended to tip more, but after that interaction, it completely changed the experience.
Not coming back, & wouldn't recommend.

The food was fine, nothing memorable-but the service was off from the start. We waited too long just to order, even though it wasn't busy.
What crossed the line was at checkout. I entered a tip manually, & the cashier immediately questioned it & said it was wrong. That felt unnecessary & honestly, disrespectful. Tipping is optional, not something to be policed in front of customers.
It completely killed the mood. Definitely won't be coming back. Conclusion:, you lost a recurrent customers over 3 dollars.
The staff at the counter was extremely rude & spoke to us in a very aggressive way. The service overall was terrible, & the food didn't make up for it either. We waited an entire hour for our order,which was so annoying.Also the stupid lady the counter kept on screaming at us like we're enemies. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE & DO NIT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
I've gone here with colleagues several times for lunch, today was the last time. The place keeps getting filthier & the waitress (same server each time, I think she's the owner) is so unpleasant & rude. I left a $2 tip to reflect the service received, & I feel even that amount was being generous. She insisted on a minimum even after I told her the service was poor. Why have a restaurant if you hate people? Also, maybe take a mop to the joint...
Great chinese food (variety, fresh, generous portion, quality, nice cooking). Good price. Their crab maw soup, house specialty fried rice, shrimp in lobster sauce, Sechuan beef tasted pretty good.(edit 2026: food preparation is inconsistent, looks like it depends on which chef is on duty)
I went to the restaurant & the ladies who she don't know how to speak with the people & she don't respect anyone & I just talk with her & I come back because of his behaviour was not good & also there is there was the Uber Driver waiting for their order, & she's talking roughly very roughly

Visited Foolam with the family & had a great experience! We ordered a variety of dishes & everything was delicious, We left full & satisfied. The staff were very friendly & helpful, which made the visit even better.
The place looks a bit old, but don't let that fool you! the food is amazing & totally worth it. Definitely recommend this spot for family dining!
I have ordered many different tofu dishes from Foo Lam & they're all delicious, especially the Jade Tofu in the picture! I only order to-go or on Ubereats so I can't speak on their service but my orders were always prepared on time.
If you are a Doordash, Uber Eats or other delivery driver, avoid picking up orders there; they are rude & arrogant. They should be smiling & thanking you, but instead they greet you coldly.
