Omg so good! Not sure how I've never heard of this place, but for sure we'll be coming back! Great choices, & finally a resto on New Year's Eve that doesn't have a fixed menu. Yes it was a reduced menu & yes I'm sure the prices were a tad higher, but great choices. As you can tell by the picture we ordered 3 meals for 2 because we wanted the steaks but we were also salivating at the thought of shrimp linguine. So we each had a steak, great mashed potatoes & baked potato, & then shared the linguine. Oh! An I added a lobster tail.
The lobster tail was cooked in a way I hadn't had before & was so yummy.
The steaks were perfectly cooked, actually, no, I would say they were both undercooked (my medium rare looked like somewhere between blue & rare) but we didn't mind, for us better than being overcooked. I do believe a table next to us sent back their steak for additional cooking time.
Service was very warm, Carla was very knowledgeable (don't you hate it when you ask for an opinion & they say everything is good) she gave us great recommendations & was just the right amount of chatty vs not.
Drinks were yummy too. My old fashioned was super well done, very classic & perfect. I also really liked the Hendrix punch drink. & we had a 3rd one, can't remember.
The dessert were great. The molten cake is to die for. We also took a cheesecake to go, it was classic & yummy.
The only slight disappointment was that we were seated on the right side, a little less entertaining a bit quiet. While it was nice to see into the kitchen, we would have liked the left side with the bar & larger breezier area. That said, we booked a new eve dinner less than 24 hours before, & they explained all the other tables were reserved.
Highly recommended for food quality & service. If you have th chance, go there you won't be disappointed. See all the other reviews, compliments everywhere.
Food quality was very good. Staff was ok. Server didn't come much even though she was near our table. I would go back. We had pasta avec poulet & salad with steak. Steak was cooked exactly as ordered so nice job by meal prep staff.
I visited Firegrill Montréal Downtown for a business lunch & I was very impressed by the quality of the food & service. The restaurant has a cozy & elegant atmosphere, with a fireplace & a large wine selection. The menu offers a variety of dishes, from burgers & salads to steaks & seafood. I ordered the grilled salmon with roasted vegetables & it was cooked to perfection, with a crispy skin & a tender flesh. The portion was generous & the presentation was appealing. The service was attentive & friendly, without being intrusive. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu & the wine pairings, & he made some great recommendations. The price was reasonable for the quality & quantity of the food. I would definitely recommend Firegrill Montréal Downtown to anyone looking for a professional & satisfying dining experience

My husband & I walked in at around 8:30 on Friday for supper. We were greeted right away with a smile by a redhead lady, she was so nice. Upon sitting down we had an informative bilingual blonde lady who served us. This was our first time coming. She was really great about making sure our needs were met the entire time & the meals were SO quick to be served, fresh hot & DELICIOUS food especially for the low price we paid & the location is downtown. I was surprised such great quality food was not expensive. Love love this place, the ribs, Chicken & beef Steak was PERFECT & full of flavours. The French onion soup was one of the greatest I've ever had better than the one si had in France even this summer. Will be back, I will bring friends too! Thanks for the best first dining experience :)
I visited Firegrill a few times for business lunches & was impressed with the quality of food, service & ambiance. I decided to take my wife for 'dinner & a movie' last Saturday & although we enjoyed the same quality of food & service, I was shocked at the wine prices. I have given 4 out of 5 for both food & service, however I simpy must point out that charging $46 for a bottle of wine that goes for $14 at the SAQ is outrageous!
SAQ X 3.3 is way overpriced.

We took the korean bbq short ribs & the carre dagneau. As for the entre we took the shrimp caesard which was basic & acceptable. & the soup of the day was great.
But for the principal plate, the korean short ribs was not pleasant to watch as it is a block of meat with a really dark colour accompagned with smash potatoes. It looks like a plate for dog food. As for the taste, the sauce was too salty & we had a meat plate with half of fat which was really heavy & not good to eat. The carre dagneau was acceptable, the sauces had a wierd taste maybe it was only me but we had a small portion. It is also come with a big smash potatoes which was not pleasant to eat. The price is abit overprice for the quality price. Would not recommend to anyone to go in there. The only good thing is that the service was good. Overall we had a bad experience & will never comeback if they change nothing.
