First off, I had been wanting to go to your restaurant since before the pandemic. When an opportunity arose to go celebrate a family birthday dinner I didn't hesitate to reserve. We chose an 8:30 dinner reservation & I guess I should've known something was wrong when I got a call from the restaurant asking us to come in sooner. When we arrived, the atmosphere was lovely. Table settings, lighting, etc. We were shown to our table in front of the fireplace. There was only two other patrons in the far corner. We assumed it was a quiet night. The waitress arrived & gave us glasses of water. She opened our bottles of wine & we ordered our entrees. Mid way through the entrees, the lights were suddenly turned up & the restaurant got "less cozy" & "less intimate". We didnt let that bother us too much. Our main courses arrved & while eating we were surprised by the conflict of the soft music playing in the dining room versus the loud party music coming from what seemed like the kitchen (or the bar). The waitress came by a few times asking if everything was good. Never once did she refill our wine glasses or offer us more water. By the time we finished our main course the waitress asked us if we wanted dessert, we wanted to finish our wine before ordering so we said we wanted to wait a little bit. She then insisted if we wanted coffee or dessert we should order it now because the kitchen staff wanted to go home! It seemed really poor that we were being rushed this way. We asked for 3 cups of coffee & 3 creme brulees. When the coffees arrived, they were luke warm to cold. We told the waitress that the coffees were cold... she said she would make a fresh pot. When they finally arrived the cups were only half full. I obviously don't need to tell you we didn't get a second up & didn't feel like staying any longer. We asked the waitress if you took American Express which she didn't know. So we paid cash. My father proceeded to explain to the waitress that we didn't appreciate being rushed through dinner & the only answer she could give was that she was alone to work that night & the staff wanted to go home. Personally, I don't know if we will want to return again... not for any special occasions that's for sure! This has been an experience we are still talking about, but not in a good way. The restaurant seemed so lovely & the food was really good. But the things that happened that night really left a sour taste in our mouths. A real shame.
Tres bien.
Our only suggestion would be to to have English menus as we had 4 guests from the USA.
We did thoroughly enjoy our dinner & experience at the restaurant.
