Although the food was good, the service was far below expectations given the restaurant's positioning & pricing. We understand it can be challenging to manage a full dining room with only one waiter, but basic service standards should still be met.
We waited over 30 minutes just to have our order taken. Meanwhile, the waiter prioritized guests who arrived after us-clearly acquaintances-regularly checking in with them while ignoring us at the next table. I had to ask twice for water, & even then, he served the neighboring table before disappearing to clean the bar. I had to visibly express my frustration before finally being served water, which is unacceptable.
After ordering, we waited another 30+ minutes for our food, only to receive the wrong type of eggs & meat. Mistakes happen, but this clearly showed a lack of communication between the server & the kitchen.
Despite the poor experience, we still left a 10% tip out of politeness. As we were leaving, the waiter gave my friend a noticeably rude look, which only confirmed how unprofessional the service was.
Before setting a minimum 18% tip on the payment machine, management should seriously review staff training & service standards.View more

My friends & I really enjoyed brunch here. The food was wonderful, & the service was amazing. I really enjoyed my iced vanilla oat latte! The waffles & chicken were great, & the quesadilla was excellent. The fruit was also very fresh. The staff is friendly & the benches are comfortable. It seemed a little tight & small in certain areas. You definitely need to make a reservation. It has an exclusive club type vibe. We will be back to try more on the menu.View more

EVA's best feature is no doubt the design of the space. It is unique with it's rounded columns, modern-industrial grey tones & intricate art pieces that adorn the restaurant. The service here was friendly & cheerful. My server didn't really interact with me after I was served, but I was sitting by the bar & the girl who was working there happily engaged me in conversation, which is always appreciated when I'm dining solo.
I went for the skytower plate, which I have mixed feelings on. The feature of the dish, the mini pancakes, were superb. I was unsure about the savory butter they were using as pancakes are sweet, however it worked very well. The texture of the pancakes was immaculate. 1-2 more could have been added to really justify the dish's name however. The other parts of the plate were pretty standard. The one part that did disappoint me is that I like my eggs poached & they told me they don't do poached eggs. This is the first time I've heard this at a brunch restaurant, & for how well this place presents itself I was surprised at the limitation. I have to say that the quality of the dish did not justify the price at all. They need to have at least one more item on this plate. I did not have a beverage, just this place & my bill was around $35. The portion-to-price ratio here is a weak point- brunch is meant to be filling, especially a plate like this.View more

Nous sommes venus avec ma copine pour brunch/ déjeuner le vendredi 21 février, car elle avait particulièrement apprécié la place quelques mois auparavant.
Néanmoins nous n'avons pas trouvé ce qu'elle avait apprécié la dernière fois…
31$ pour le HighTower soit 2 oeufs brouillés, 3 petites saucisses puis 4 mini pain cakes. 15$ pour un burger au poulet frit, indiqué comme le plat le plus épicé sur la carte, mais hormis quelques grain de poivres, il n'y a rien d'épicé dans ce burger. En bref nous avons été déçu du repas, ce qu'il contenait ainsi que la qualité des aliments.
Pour la même qualité, aller dans une chaîne telle que l'Oeufrier coûtera moins cher & nous comblera plus.
Sans oublier la poubelle à l'entrée du restaurant, laissant à peine l'espace pour ouvrir la porte d'entrée…

Another 5 star experience in Montreal. Very friendly staff, you should reserve ahead though, very busy!! Food was speedy & so delicious. We would return for sure. We had the waffles & full breakfast & the mini pancake bites (these are to die for, they melt in your mouth with flavour) also the music is great I was jamming with all the tunes as we enjoyed a family brunch!View more

Heard good things, but was disappointed, definitely over hyped.
The good:
The food was good. The chairs were comfy, tables aren't too close together. Ambiance is generally nice.
The bad:
While the waffles are good, they don't don't come with syrup or anything. The portions are small. The cheese steak is the smallest cheesesteak I've ever seen. The eggslut doesn't come with any sides, just a sandwich on a plate. Felt very expensive for what you get.
Food was slow. Service was slow. Asked for ketchup, saw the server go get ketchup, then play on his phone for 5min before bringing it to our table.
Overall left feeling like we paid too much for a very mid experience.View more

Globalement ça va, mais c'est quand même très cher vu les portions & surtout…ils ne font AUCUN café spéciaux (chai latte, London fog, moccacino…). Pour une place de brunch, c'est vraiment dommage.
