About us
Et Caetera restaurant is located in old Beloeil. Its combination of bring your own wine and cuisine distinguish it from other restaurants. Throughout the year you will find mussels, pasta, grilled meats and fish. The appetizers and desserts are homemade. In the summer, the intimate terrace, veiled by the shadow of the St-Mathieu's steeple, is a haven of peace. You will be welcomed into a spacious and bright dining room where the decor reflects the relaxed and convivial Mediterranean dining tables.

First time there. Very good service, being with friends in a cozy corner (a bit hot for the one in the corner 😉) gave a sweet atmosphere, but I need to admit the FOOD is outstanding, which is what we should expect from a restaurant! I ordered a Filet Mignon (my fav) medium, not only it was spot-on, but it just melts in your mouth, simply divine! That would've made my evening, but I dared order the apple donuts with caramel coating: fabulous!
I still salivate rethinking about it.
I love the Vieux-Beloeil for their restaurants & nice scenery, but it's worth 110% your money!
Will go back for sure, thanks the staff & chef!

If you're in the process of choosing a good restaurant in Vieux Beloeil & your priority is gastronomy & excellent service, this is the place to choose. OK, it's not located by the river so you don't have the charm of river & mountain view. However, & Caetera has better cuisine & more professional service. Also, surprisingly, it's more economical than the other restaurants in the neighborhood. Another substantial advantage is that here you can bring your own wine which has a considerable impact on your bill. So don't forget to bring a good bottle of wine from the SAQ because they don't sell any on premises. Its one or the other here in Quebec. At the time of my visit, this restaurant was only open in the evenings, not for lunch. The outdoor terrasse is where you want to sit on a nice summer evening but it's a little tight & crowded. They also have plenty of indoor seating which seems more spacious & comfortable. Making a reservation is a must. I had the fried squid which was delicious & served in one piece but sliced (original) & the carré d'agneau which was cooked to perfection (rosé). I highly recommend this restaurant for fine French cuisine & best value for your money.

Nous avons été souper au restaurant & Caetera, dans le Vieux-Beloeil, la température était confortable, nous avons donc profité de la terrasse. Nous sommes satisfaits car la nourriture était savoureuse, les portions étaient généreuses & Denise nous a offert un très bon service. Nous y retournerons c'est certain.

A beautiful, classy but relaxed restaurant in a centennial home. Wonderful food, soft background music with adults conversing without shouting! I highly recommend it for an evening away from Montreal by the Richelieu river in old Beloeil. 👍🏻😊

Nous avons été très bien reçu au & Caetera situé agréablement dans le Vieux-Beloeil.
Le service a commencé un peu trop tranquillement (délai avant la prise de commande, mais le restaurant était à pleine capacité un samedi soir, donc c'est compréhensible). Par la suite, le rythme entre les plats a été très raisonnables.
Parlant des plats, le menu est vaste & tout le monde peut y trouver son compte sans problème (pâtes, moules, fruits de mer, volaille, boeuf, etc.) & de notre groupe de 8, tout le monde a été satisfait de la qualité des aliments & du respect des cuissons demandées.
J'y retournerai sans aucun doute.
