greek(34) lunch(28) quality(24) fresh(24) fish(23) recommend(19) ingredients(17) dessert(16) prix(15)My wife read in a Toronto paper about the owner of Estiatorio Milos who has a number of restaurants around the world. I was scrambling for a place to celebrate a substantial wedding anniversary, & I managed to get a table at Milos. Firstly, everything is true that you've probably heard about Milos. That it is a first rate restaurant. That the food is a cut above the rest. That the decor is perfection. That the service is impeccable. & it is. & maybe that should garner them 5/5, but for me, they're not pushing the envelope. The taramasalata was possibly the best I've had. The frittered zucchini & eggplant is delicious. The bread & olive oil is very good. The octopus was extraordinary. If you don't read this review further, I'd suggest just getting a huge selection of tapas, which are broad an varied. Where it starts to fall down for me, is that it's just a little too perfect. It's precisely what you expect, & nothing more. Nothing less, but nothing more. The service is excellent, maybe just a little too perfect -- & when the server warmed up, it was great. But I did have to ask for a second bottle of water twice from the back waiter. The main dish we ordered was a little disappointing. It was halibut, which suffers from a lack of flavour generally, & in my opinion needs a lot of work to make it interesting. On the other hand, it did represent precisely the way halibut is, & it was subtle with a lovely tomato that had turned into a nice coulis. But it needed more flavour to my taste. The rapini was good -- nothing special, just good rapini. Frites were good -- needed a little more work. So this is a place which presents precisely what the food is, in its most elemental form, & that does require some level of respect, which I definitely give. However, this is 2024, & while it would have been mind blowing in 1979, this is just excellent. & that's where, for me, the fault lies. I wouldn't hesitate to take clients there, because it is renowned, expensive, fancy, & excellent. But in 2024, there are just too many interesting alternatives in Montreal.View more
Milos is a stunning gem that elevates the dining experience to new heights. From the moment you step inside, the elegant decor & sophisticated ambiance set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The seafood here is exceptional, showcasing the freshest ingredients sourced from the finest markets. Each dish is a celebration of flavor & presentation. Service at Milos is top-notch-attentive & knowledgeable, the staff is dedicated to ensuring a seamless experience. They offer great recommendations & are genuinely passionate about the menu. To round off the meal, the desserts are a must-try. The baklava was an exquisite blend of flaky pastry & rich nuts.View more

Malheureusement, j'avais encore faim après les trois services du dîner. Je suggère que vous devez ajouter plus de pain. Par ailleurs, j'aime beaucoup le cadre du restaurant & le service était très sympathique.View more
Excellent food. The prix fix lunch is a steal. Update from 2024-sep-19. Went for dinner with close friends from out of town. The service was downright horrible & left me embarrassed. Waiters weren't able to explain the dishes & what ingredients & portion sizes. We chose some appetizers & asked how big they are ... the response was it is just an appetizer size then ordered some sides that basically included the same ingredients as appetizer, when questioned the waiter why they did not mention this .. the response was ... that is what you ordered. Waiters were whispering behind our backs in very unprofessional way. The quality of the food is still good, but when you spend over $700 for 4 adults it is not a great overall experience. My recommendation is only to visit this place for prix fix lunch.View more

Outstanding, as always! The highest quality ingredients, prepared to perfection & impeccably served. Only criticism is the noise. Please, please get acoustic tiles on the ceiling.View more
Le Milos est un incontournable à Montréal! Jamais déçu de la nourriture ! Je recommande cette endroit. Pour moi le crab cake, les pâtes au homard ainsi que la baklava accompagné de sa crème glacé valent un 10/10View more
Went on Thursday night, even with reservation were waiting long time , very crowded, extremely noisy, too many close table , can't have a conversation, rushed service , they looked overwhelmed & stressed , overall not a premium experience, food was not bad , but cold . Very disappointed , because several years ago it was excellent restaurantView more

Very good, & consistent. Always great service. A little pricier than it should be, & some of the portions are on the small side.View more

Usually you go to hi-end restaurants & there's always something lacking. But not at this restaurant, hands down the best food, service & atmosphere. Every dish tasted great, especially the lamb chops, friend calamari & geek salad.View more
