pizza(144) sauce(32) recommend(31) salad(31) pasta(28) prix(26) bar(21) pates(21) drink(20) terrasse(19) italian(19) rapide(16)This restaurant has become me & my wife go to place for a relaxing evening when work has become to hectic & we need to de-stress.
Very disappointing experience at Monza Centropolis on Father's Day. During lunch, we were three adults with a newborn in a stroller & wanted to sit on the terrace, where only one table was occupied!! Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were told we could not keep the baby in the stroller due to'safety reasons.' Actually it's safer to keep a newborn in the stroller than the chair. We were not comfortable with that & decided to leave. Other restaurants in Centropolis had no issue accommodating us, with the stroller & they were much busier. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to the establishment as it is NOT BABY & FAMILY FRIENDLY. As well, management doesn't even respond to reviews so basically they just don't care!
We had Philip as our waiter tonight, & he made the entire experience so much more enjoyable. He was friendly, attentive, & made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the evening. Give this man a raise! We'll definitely be back, thanks in no small part to his excellent service.
The food was delicious! The atmosphere felt cozy & the staff were exceptionally amazing at what they do! I don't know who my server was but I felt like she went out & beyond for us
To be honest, the portion size of the fettucine alfredo is a little small but the delicious bread they gave made up for the empty space
Service is slow, not enough staff serving or preparing the food. No one inside & they could not even handle serving the people outside on the terrace.
Shrimp were over cooked & dry. It use to be good here, but they lost me now with how everything was tonight. There are enough good Italian restaurants in Montreal that I dont have to accept what they make their customers go through.
Didn't get my cocktail until my food arrived & even had to wait over 20 minutes for my bill too.
Ridiculous.
The calabrese pizza is not well balanced. Too spicy in some bites & too sweet on others, adding sugar to the tomato sauce shouldn't be a thing..
The carbonata pasta is just meh.. there is an aftertaste that shouldn't be there & definitely isn't made the proper way. It's tasteless & pointless.
This is good for a big surface if you are a big group but other than that I wouldn't recommend of you want authenticity.
If I could give 0 stars, I would.
Apparently this business has never heard of families, babies, or strollers. Trying to navigate this place with a stroller felt like attempting an obstacle course designed by someone who actively dislikes parents. No accommodation, no consideration, & absolutely no effort to make the experience accessible or welcoming.
It's 2026. Most businesses understand that parents with young children exist. This place seems determined to pretend they don't. Between the poor layout, lack of stroller-friendly access, & overall attitude, it was clear that families are not a priority here.
Plenty of businesses go out of their way to make customers feel welcome. This one seems to go out of its way to do the opposite.
Save yourself the frustration & spend your money somewhere that actually values all customers, not just the ones who can walk in empty-handed.
We arrived at 10:40 PM & were immediately told that the kitchen was closed. This was on a Saturday night, right after the Morocco-Brazil game, while we were still in our jerseys.
The manager looked us up & down before saying the kitchen was closed, which came across as judgmental & disrespectful. What made the situation worse is that another employee initially tried to seat us & even gave us menus, only to come back & say the kitchen had closed at 10:30 PM. This contradiction clearly shows a lack of organization & professionalism.
This experience felt discriminatory. It seemed like we were being judged based on our appearance rather than being treated like regular customers. This kind of service is unacceptable, & I expected far better.
