It has been many years that the likable Elio and his wife Nina from the province of Avellino close to Naples have opened the doors of Restaurant Elio Pizzeria. We must say that this restaurant is not just a simple pizzeria, Elio and family offer to their North American customers typical Neapolitans Home Style dishes. During all these years, Restaurant Elio has served numerous and faithful customers. When the restaurant first opened in 1964, it had the ability to serve only 18 diners. Today, Elio and family are proud of being able to accommodate more than 700 individuals due to their two reception halls (Buffet Anna Maria). With a gentle smile, Elio and Family wish you a great home style food experience, one you won't surely forget.
Elio Pizzeria Ristorante feels like a Montreal institution where authentic Italian cooking, especially pizza and pasta, meets warm, attentive service in a welcoming family atmosphere. Guests consistently praise a crispy, flavorful pizza, fresh pasta and rich sauces, generous portions, and good value, with several noting the option to take sauces and fresh pasta home. The staff are described as friendly and professional, making every visit feel like a homecoming, and the setting, sometimes with live music, offers a lively yet relaxed vibe. Recent updates keep the decor current while preserving a traditional, cozy feel. This spot is widely recommended for gatherings, date nights, and casual meals alike.
I ordered a small cheese pizza well done from uber eats. The top dough & cheese wasn't cooked through, dough was soft & the cheese wasn't completely melted. The cheese was only on one side of the pizza. There was too much sauce & the bottom of the pizza was burnt. The dough was thick throughout the entire pizza & chewy. I received a complimentary small peice of carrot cake with my order that was verry good & fresh & it was nice of them to include, that's why I gave 2 stars, but all I really wanted was a good cheese pizza.

THE best pizza in town! The rest of the menu is also delicious, with generous portions. A warm, friendly, family atmosphere that also has private rooms for parties. &, an upstairs reception hall for large gatherings.
This is such a classic Montreal Italian joint, been around forever! Prices are great & there are musicians walking around playing violin; really a blast from the past! Vibes were more Italian than Nona's house. I don't think the pasta is homemade & I'm pretty sure the pizza doesnt use that classic Italian dough, but I'm not 100% sure so don't take my word for it & go try it out. Service was decent, food came quick, it didn't blow me away but the price makes up for it. $40 gets you dinner, dessert, coffee so no complaints. Hits that Italian craving just right!
This is without a doubt the best most satisfying pizza in montreal! I highly recommend them. Between the food & the fresh pasta, sauce & tomato pizza that you can just grab in their fridge. Today I picked up 4XL pizzas..for 14ppl at the office. 14 out 14 loved the pizzas so much. Thank you Frank & the staff at Elios. Always a hit!
WAY MORE THAN PIZZA! The food & the service here are excellent. My husband had the pizza with anchovies & enjoyed it. I had the cannelloni. It was delicious. The veal dish & the fettuccine mama were also tasty. For appetizers, we enjoyed the eggplant & tomatoes with burrata. The eggplant was my favorite. We also enjoyed prosecco & some red wine. It was a lovely lunch. For dessert, we had homemade mini cannolis. Delicious! The menu is extensive. The restaurant itself is very clean. Very busy on a Sunday afternoon. Outside seating when weather is nice. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for quality Italian food.
Nice neighbourhood trattoria that's been around for a very long time. It's not fancy but it's excactly the kind of place that you need as a local neighbourhood trattoria. Good pizzas & pasta along with other options. Fast service, reasonable prices & friendly staff. What more can you ask for?

I stopped here for lunch & took the lunch menu. The service was excellent. The minestrone was perfect. They switched me in an Arugola pizza (at no extra charge) which was incredible. Quaint, unassuming, authentic Italian.
Food lacks consistency. Used to be best pizza in town, without exception. Now, sometimes the pizza is reminiscent of the old days. Other times the dough is as hard & as dry as the box.

Amazing food, I came alot here when it was covid but revisiting this restaurant was amazing. I think the combo with both pizza & the pasta is a great way to taste the quality of the food. All is made freshly & the service is fast & nice
Service is non existent, they come, take your order & they disappear. Everything else from food to drinks is brought over by other people. The food was mediocre, I've had better frozen pizza. This isn't the elio's from when I was younger. If you're looking for something nostalgic this ain't it.

We went to this pizzeria & it was a wonderful experience. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with kindness & warmth by the entire staff, & we truly felt at home. The pizza & their cuisine in general are delicious. The owner is a fantastic person, passionate & proud of his roots; you can clearly feel how much love he puts into preserving Italian cuisine & the traditions of his homeland. A place that warms the heart as well as the stomach. Highly recommended!
Je trouve que les sourires manquent. J'allais à ce restaurant dans les années 80 & l'ambiance était fort agréable. La semaine dernière c'était comme si on les dérangeait. Pas de sourires... Pas de bonjour... Par contre la pizza était bonne.
First time there but my waiter Phil made me feel like a regular. He suggested the prosuto pizza with buratta that is not on the menu. Calamari & eggplant as entrés & the rest is a party in your mouth. Water gents buzzing around filling your glass. As we left at avout 18h30 on a Friday, regulars were gathered at the door to be seated. If you want & like classic Italian food made & served with passion/care, you cannot go wrong with Elio's. They do thin crust or thicker crust as you wish.
We got the Abbondanza & Peppelonata to go. The pizza was super satisfying - smoky, cheesy, & absolutely delicious! The Abbondanza was really meaty & perfect if you love that rich, slightly indulgent flavor.
you'll be full in no time!
