Don Taco is widely recognized as a budget friendly spot offering a variety of flavorful tacos, burritos, and well regarded desserts like red velvet cake and pastries. While many patrons appreciate the generous portions, authentic taste, and quick service, experiences regarding food consistency and atmosphere vary. The restaurant serves as a convenient destination for a quick bite or a late night snack, though some visitors noted that the ordering process can be confusing and that the space would benefit from updates and improved ambiance. Despite mixed feedback on recent management and spice levels, the majority of visitors find the food to be delicious, fresh, and a great value for the price.
I am uber eats driver uber send me an order call when i was 10 km away from restaurant. As i checked on google about their closed time i called the restaurant before i started. The restaurant employee talk to me & confirmed that i need to come because he is waiting for driver.. I requested him gas prices are so high he confirmed he is waiting for me.. I arrived i called he didn't pick up my call .. Dtown is already under construction its not easy to reach to restaurant. I called on his phone i knocked the restaurant door as per that employee advised me but he didn't show up. Then i informed uber about this situation & miss committed of that employee.. There has to be some humanity why your employee confirmed me about his presence… thats why i always found these restaurants employees are only working in the restaurants till their last breath… Because they don't have any commitment level…
The customer service is super good & the food is so delicious PLUS they give incredible portions for the price. Totally recommended it, it's a must go!😉
While I haven't tried the tacos or main dishes here yet, but I've come by a few times for the pastries & they're honestly great.
Lots of variety, each with their own little twist, & the nanaimo bars & brownies are a personal favorite. Prices are fair for what you get.
The staff is super friendly & welcoming (special thanks to Laila who was really helpful & patient). The atmosphere inside isn't really the kind of place I'd sit down for a long time, but it's a perfect spot to grab a dessert to go. Definitely worth stopping by if you've got a sweet tooth.
It's such a shame to see the downgrade that this place had,
food is not longer as delicious as it used to be, such small portions for the price.
They used to be good & their portions used to be filling & big.
& not to mention they forgot one item of my order, & when I called back to know what happened I was met with a very annoyed & nonchalant response.
Bad choice on changing management 👎🏼
Chill place with limited seating. Late night hours & really good food. Listed as a Mexican food place, there's a few Indian food surprises on the menu & there's always a huge supply of quality desserts on hand. It's a fine bakery on top of everything. I don't mind the limited seating, but the banquet is shedding it's faux leather coating. Prices though, are very reasonable for the quality
This spot has been one of my go-to's for more than 3 years now & I've been a loyal customer through the years. It's a spot that I always recommend for good, quick, & authentic food at a reasonable price. Only, in the past couple of months, I've seen the quality of the service & food drop. Last time I came there in person, me & my partner ordered respectively a shrimp burrito (my usual) & he ordered a beef burrito bowl. Normally, the service is pretty quick, I think the longest I waited was around 15 minutes. But that time, it took over 40 minutes for our two very simple items. & not only did we wait for them to be ready, but they also messed up my partner's order & had to restart it, making us stand there for another 10 minutes while my burrito was chilling in its bag. & not only that, but the said burrito was extremely salty to the point where it was barely enjoyable. Today, I ordered delivery of, you guessed it- shrimp burrito. I ordered rice & beans on the side as well. What I received was three very dry shrimp tacos with soupy beans & the poorest rice I've seen in a while! Seriously, I'm just baffled!! I used to really really like this place, & I have no idea what changed about it, but I'm really deceived by the quality of food & service I've been getting.
Great Piccadillo tacos, unbeatable for the price. Good amount of spice, hot & no skimping on the filling. Only one taco shown as I ate the first too fast to take a picture.
