Dominic "Dick" Potenza was born in West Virginia and grew up in Utica, New York. He became well known in the Rochester - Buffalo area during the 40’s as a head-waiter in the supper-club type restaurants of the era. It was at one of these supper-clubs that he met his future wife, jazz accordionist Ann Collecchia, who performed using the stage name of Ann Russell. Together, they envisioned a fast food restaurant that would serve an original style hamburger with their own special sauce. After much thought, this original style hamburger took the form of a toasted bun containing a thin patty that would cook quickly. After they modified and combined two recipes that they brought with them from Rochester, Dick and Ann developed their famous hot sauce.

Le personnel était sympa & aidant au niveau de l'explication du menu. Cependant, le goût n'était pas à mon goût. Somme toute, c'était correct au niveau des hamburgers. Mais pour ce qui est de la poutine, je ne l'ai pas particulièrement apprécié. Le prix est raisonnable sinon.
Les meilleurs hamburger à Montréal sa fait plus de 50 ans qu'on va chez dic Ann mes parents & mes frères & soeurs on connaissait dic & ann du très bon monde & les meilleurs hamburger sauce je recommande fortement A1. The best.
J'ai été un peu dessus car le contour du pain de mon cheeseburger étais vraiment trop mouillées asser que j'ai du coupé avec le bâtonnet & ces pas la première fois que sa a arrivée, là ces trop je me plaindre.
It's a classic place that has been there for a very long time! There is not much place to seat at since it's a more dine in seat table style'sur comptoir' or for to go! My friends usually order for to go since highschool but today we tried to eat dine in & it was very chill overall !

Best burger I've have in ages. The fries were amazing, too. &, to top it all off, I didn't have to pay an arm & a leg for it. A double cheeseburger with fries & a drink costs like 13.50
J'ai adoré Dic Ann's Hamburgers, facile d'accès, stationnement,service rapide & courtois. "Take out" ou manger sur place à un prix plus qu'abordable. A recommander sans hésitation & à la prochaine!

I've been going to this place since I was in my mother's stomach & I still go to this day, the employees have all known me since I was born & they're amazing. It is the OG Dic Ann's after all!

Une joli expérience Montréalaise typique années 50. Leurs hamburgers aplatis sont savoureux ! Le petit bâtonnet sert à soulever le hamburger qui est servi dans une petite assiette en carton. La boisson fontaine à 2.20 & le double cheese Burger à 6.60 sont très abordables ! Si vous êtes touriste, demandez le all dress, c'est délicieux. La déco est vintage à souhait. Bref un détour à faire !!!
