A place with nice vibes & clear dedication & experience in serving their menu. While the ribs & brisket were solid, they didn't quite hit that peak'melt-in-your-mouth' level of juiciness. Still, the quality is high enough that it's worth a visit to experience for yourself.

If this is Montreal's best BBQ, this city is in a sad state.
So, I never leave reviews where I am from because, whatever, but when I travel I want the full experience of the location I visit! This was an incredible let down. Not mad, just disappointed. Waitress was so kind but not very attentive to us. We showed up for early dinner & we were greeted with lukewarm (not hot) food. Things seemed to have sat under the bridge warmer too long. Cajun Shrimp was $18 for 2 shrimp ONLY. That was ridiculous to us. The Mac n' Cheese was undercooked & bland as well as colder than luke warm. The only good thing about our meal was the fried pickles & the ribs (ribs were overcooked & bland for'good barbecue' even) but we came out enjoying those two items the most. This place needs to upgrade their quality of food & change their pricing because they are taking your money in return for a disappointing meal & overall experience.
Beef ribs just bones & overcooked like beef jerky. Brisket good but dry. Wife had bbq chicken & vomited at home. Fries were old & overcooked. Discovered Jack Flats - soooo much better.
On a cold winter night, after a full weekend of tournament volleyball, my daughter & I were gearing up for the long drive back to Toronto. Before tackling a 5+ hour stretch on the 401, I knew we needed a proper Montréal meal to send us off the right way-especially fresh off a GOLD medal win, we were in full celebration mode.
Diablos BBQ popped up on the map, & it turned out to be the perfect choice. The menu is straightforward, & the food quality is absolutely top-tier. As someone who's been cooking over charcoal for years & has hosted plenty of BBQ gatherings, I can confidently say this is the real deal-authentic BBQ lives here.
From flavor to presentation, everything was on point. The beef ribs & fried chicken were next level, & the brisket left me wishing I'd ordered more. Portions were generous, prices were more than reasonable, & the service was fantastic. The owner was especially welcoming-you can immediately feel the passion & pride he has in his craft & his restaurant.
We left full, happy, & ready for the drive home. That meal made the night-& the long ride back to Toronto-even better.

I had been craving brisket forever. I was hoping for some super tender, melt in your mouth moist brisket. This was not it. It was tender, I'll give them that but it was dry. Felt like day old warmed up brisket. I was disappointed. HOWEVER, the pork ribs were delicious. Exactly the tender & moist texture I was hoping the brisket to be. The ribs were an add on & Im sure glad I added it. It saved my experience & my review. Still craving brisket though... Not sure I would risk it again. Pricey for a disappointing piece of meat.
I had all you can eat chicken wings.
All in all they were Ok… for 15$ you can't go wrong… this said their dipping sauces were a little thin & liquid… did not really stick to them… that would have to be corrected.
My wife & a freind took 1/4 chicken leg & brisket.
Brisket was very dry !!! That's a NO NO !
Brisket is best when moist. Overall comment of dipping sauce… way to sweet.
Adjustments are required for a satisfied customer ! My wife wasn't very impressed !
She was dying for greens to accompany her plate (salad or something) but all they had was greasy deep fried broccoli… Eeeyeuuu 😭… not a happy camper !
Overall service was ok… our waiter was attentive to our needs & very freindly.
The place was packed & atmosphere ok… a little CAGE AU SPORT.
Overall we tried it but won't repeat the experience ! Must admit I did not try their ribs… to bad !
If you go ALL U CAN EAT WINGS for 15$ is a winner !
The ribs are so delicious it's heavenly!!! The brisket also hits right there in the spot! The fries are nice & crunchy & well seasoned with some kind of spicy. The chicken was ok, a bit dey but its fine.
Overall, if you love bbq, you must try their ribs & brisket.
We came from Toronto. Sidney was our host & was phenomenal - very attentive & quickly seated our large group even though we didn't have reservations.
The food was excellent, Beef brisket &beef ribs 🔥🔥

My experience at Diablos bbq was only brightened by the frantic method in which we went about deciding to come here & to order. Although the lack of both Pork Ribs & Beans threw a spanner into our plans, the service of the staff (especially Katie(deserves a raise)) & the exceptional quality of the food more than made up for what we missed out on. We will definitely be back at Diablos BBQ to delight in the food we missed, & the wonderful atmosphere that was curated.
Smoked chicken was good. Cajun fries were ok & the coleslaw. The beef brisket was full of fat. The ribs were hardened with burnt sugar from the sauce. The ribs were resting on top of fish. We could taste fish on one set of ribs. The potato salad did not have any flavour. The fried broccoli was dripping with oil & tasted like it was reheated in the microwave. There was an issue with our order but the waitress addressed it right away.
No idea what the 5000 people who gave it good reviews ate but that wasn't what I got. Ribs & brisket were deeply disappointing. It was sad, dry, & had the texture of something that was cooked 3 days ago & reheated to serve. Truly unfortunate.
Music was a little loud but we were seated right under a speaker. It was quiet on a Sunday evening. Food was 100% legit (take that from a southern girl). Chicken was moist! Pork & ribs were great. My favourite was the brisket, PERFECTLY COOKED! The homemade BBQ sauce is more of a bold flavour rather than a sweet Carolina sauce (which is my preference) but thats okay! The only difference between this place & its southern counterparts is the assortment of BBQ sauces (up to 4 in most places!). I would suggest adding fresh corn for the summer menu. Prices were very reasonable. If you're from the south & looking for a taste of home in Montreal, you've found it!
Phil mixed us up a yummy Hurricane & Long Island iced tea.
He challenged us to pick our favorite meat from the small Dixie. I am torn between the smoked fried chicken & brisket. The ribs were my man's #1. All in all, everything was delicious. You can taste the love in all the kitchen put out.
Nous étions deux & avons commandé un plat avec beef ribs (2) + brisket (2) + beans + extra pull pork. Catstrophe monumental. Les ribs avaient pas de viande du tout, le goût de la brisket goutait le liquid smoke, les beans le ketchup & l'extra pull pork plus sèche que la plante de mes pieds! Très déçu de ma première expérience. La serveuse avait une attitude de : j'ai pas trop envie de répondre à vos questions! Je crois qu'il y a un grand manque de respect envers certain client (si c'est un groupe, il semble qu'on leur porte mieux attention & que le sourire des serveurs semblent plus facile. Au bout du compte quand j'ai fait le calcul de ce que le groupe a pris a mangé, on était dans le même niveau à l'exception des drink qu'on a pas bu car ont allaient au Festival de Jazz. Je recommande un endroit ou on traite les clients de la même manière & je recommande à ces serveurs un cours de math!
