Tonight we dined at Di Mena Restaurant as a group of four adults. From the very beginning, the experience was disappointing.
When the waiter came to take our drink order, one of the gentlemen asked for a beer & was told they had no beer available due to the Christmas parties. Not only is this unheard of for a high-end restaurant, but there was no apology whatsoever-& this lack of courtesy continued throughout the entire evening.
We ordered our food, which was acceptable but not at all up to the standard I remember Di Mena being known for. The quality was simply not what it once was.
I later asked to speak with the manager, who turned out to be the same waiter. I explained that we had made a reservation & had driven all the way from Laval, expecting a full dining experience-including drinks to accompany our meal. Once again, there was no apology, only the excuse that his order had not been delivered-during one of the busiest times of the year, which is hard to understand.
What was most disappointing is that nothing was offered to compensate for the inconvenience-not even a coffee or dessert.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed. This experience fell far below expectations, & I will be waiting a long time before considering a return. As a manager, he should be ashamed of his behavior & lack of

There was an issue with the group booking but they made things right! Food was great & service was super! Thanks guys. We'll definitely come back!

on a fait venir 7 extra larges. on demande pour 19h30. nous sommes une entreprise & on arrête pas une production à n'importe quelle heure ! & bien imaginez vous que la commande est arrivée à 18h !!!! désolé mais c'est la dernière fois pour moi avec ce restaurant.

Easily one of the best & most genuine Italian restaurants in Montreal. They have a wide range of menu selection & you can rest assured that you will be satisfied regardless of what you decide to eat - the quality is excellent across the board, however I would recommend the veal chop among others.
The service was very friendly & efficient. The atmosphere was cozy & true to its culture.
I often order pizza for takeout as well, although the all-dressed or rapini & sausage are far greater than other options (I am personally not a fan of the all-cheese pizza here).

Temps d'attente pour recevoir notre assiette: trop long ( 2hres ) !!! Quelques plats de pâtes pas assez cuites, 2 erreurs de plats. Un service froid. Les serveurs se sont excusés plusieurs fois, mais nous sommes tous déçus & pour ma part, malgré que mon plat était bon, je ne recommanderai ce restaurant à personne ! C'est rire du monde...
On nous offres le café le digestif & le dessert au frais du propriétaire

Food was expensive & average, service was extremely long more than 1 hour to get main course meal. Place is also noisy. Unfortunately will not go back.

Great place with great service. We tried calamari fritti, pizza with Italian sausage & rapini (which was garlicky & amazing & we will be coming back for more) & cannelloni with meat which was also very tasty with fresh cheese on top, with Syrah Sicilian wine that takes you back to Italy with only one sip. They give you fresh bread with butter on side & garlic bread in shape of pizza on top of everything.
