Review Summary

Dessert Café Momo is widely celebrated for its high quality Korean desserts, particularly the bingsu, which many describe as the best in Montreal due to its fresh ingredients and balanced sweetness. Visitors frequently praise the cozy, charming atmosphere and the variety of offerings, including cakes, macarons, and iced drinks. While the experience is generally positive and the service is often noted as friendly, some patrons find the wait times for orders to be excessive and point out that the small seating area can be limited. Despite varying opinions on pricing and portion sizes, the overall consensus highlights the cafe as a comforting and delicious neighborhood gem worth visiting.

The matcha strawberry cake & macarons were a total win after the Dodgers game tonight. The food is definitely worth a trip, but let's be real, I am the best thing you will see here. If you are cute & have good taste, you should come find me.

Their macarons used to be top notch. Recently, it's either too small or the shell is too crispy. Macarons should not be like that. Their cakes used to be good as well. I don't know what happened. glad the bingsoo still tastes the same. Oh well ☹?

The space is cozy without trying too hard, making it an easy place to slow down for a bit.

We started with the honey ginger lemon tea, which was warm & genuinely comforting, especially well balanced rather than overly sweet. The matcha cake was light & fluffy, with a clean matcha flavor that didn't overwhelm. We also tried the Injeolmi & mochi macaron & the chocolate macaron, both well made & satisfying, with textures that worked nicely together.

There's a sense of care in both the menu & the atmosphere. We'd love to come back to try their bingsoo next time & spend a little more time enjoying the space.

If you had a good experience, great! If not, the owner will harass & even doxx you for leaving anything but a positive review (maybe in a attempt to have the review removed?). Not the kind of business worth supporting.

As others have mentioned, the bingsoo tastes off/stinky but they'll insist that everything is fresh. The macarons are mid & hard as they're not thawed properly. The list goes on but just know that if any issues arise, it's never their fault. Honestly just horrible people running this place.

A super cute cafe with daily cake & macaron dessert options that are all vegetarian. The prices for coffee & cakes are reasonable & the portions are generous. The matcha cake paired very well with a Cortado & the strawberry cake had surprisingly fresh fruit. The coffee was strong but didn't taste bitter. There is banquette seating & tables that can accommodate 2-3 people. Everything was served with beautiful plating. The decor is super cute & cozy. The server was professional & friendly, despite seeming to be the only one working at the front at the time we were there. Will definitely return on a hot day to try out the injeolmi bingsoo!

I love this spot. The owners are amazing & always try their best. The strawberry shortcake is my girlfriend's favorite. So are the macarons. Honestly, if you have the money I strongly suggest supporting this small business. Truly topnotch. While I give everything a 5 star, I do have to give it a 4 overall since the price has sharply risen over the past two (maybe three) years. I believe we used to pay around 35$ for a small cake while now it has gone up to 50-60$.
