Dek Sen Cuisine Thaïlandaise is a fantastic hidden gem in Montreal. The space is cozy & welcoming, & the food is clearly made with care & authentic flavours.
I ordered the lamb, & it was outstanding - tender, perfectly cooked, & packed with rich, aromatic spices that felt both comforting & bold. You can tell the kitchen knows what it's doing.
As someone who spends a lot of time walking Montreal's neighbourhoods & recommending local spots during my walking tours, this is exactly the kind of restaurant I love highlighting: locally owned, consistent, & genuinely memorable. It's a great stop whether you're a local or visiting the city & looking to eat well after exploring on foot.
Highly recommend Dek Sen if you're into authentic Thai cuisine & discovering great food in Montreal.
Loved DEK SEN what a nice little culinary trip to Thailand right in the heart of montreal. Authentic & flavourful food. Loved the Panang, absolutely mouth watering! The little hints of lemon grass had me wanting more. The salt & pepper shrimp on their specials where so crispy & well seasoned. Lets not forget the thai tea, so fresh & perfect amount of sweetness. If i had any positive criticism I'd say the papaya salad lacked a bit of heat. I loved my experience & would definitely return. Thank you for having me :)

Absolutely Fantastic Experience at DEKSEN!
Everything from the food to the service was top-notch. We ordered the papaya salad, gyoza, crispy wings, shrimp pad see ew (with that unmistakable wok hei flavor!), crispy shrimps with tamarind sauce & braised beef PANANG curry - each dish was flavorful, fresh, & beautifully presented. The natural coconut water was the perfect refreshing touch to balance the spices.
Service was timely, & the staff were warm, attentive, & friendly throughout our meal. You can really feel the care & authenticity in both the food & the atmosphere. Highly recommend DEKSEN for anyone craving real Thai food done right. We'll definitely be back! 🌶?🇹🇭🥥
Khao Soy ( Authentic thai noodle soup ) so tasty , chicken is so soft ,not spicy as the color , 👍👍👍if you have no idea of what you gonna order ,I really recommend you try this menu or pad thai & also kraprao Kai recèpe. There are best represent dishs of thai menu here .
The service is spectacular, the food is literally a chefs kiss, so delicious so authentic! Also first time trying to mango sticky rice as a dessert, overall sooo great! I feel I could eat here almost everyday. We had the chicken pad Thai, red curry & green curry. & wow, will definitely be coming here again next time I'm in Montreal! I can't remember my waiters name, but he was tall, very nice & accommodating! Great experience overall

I love my Issan papaya salad but it's a bit too salty, same as the Pad see ew. This brought me back to Thailand fr. I was surprised that they have ice cream with mango sticky rice too, it's sooooo GOOD! The owner is super friendly, let us tried the new dish.
I hate to see comments like'I've been to so many Thai restaurants it didn't taste like other Thai restaurants''the food is REPULSIVE' DO YOUR RESEARCH! Each part of Thailand has its own unique flavor, & they're not just sweet & sour!
Like EXCUSE me? You ordered papaya with stinky fish sauce & you're here complaining?!!!! Maybe ask before you order it?! I'm not even Thai but I feel the disrespect! That's really disrespectful to a restaurant which is trying to make authentic food ! Maybe you should just keep going to your whitewashed Thai restaurants! You don't belong to here. 100% uneducated ignorant & not well cultured!
HALAL Thai food??? Yes please! I was soo happy when I stumbled upon this delicious restaurant. It's very rare to find a halal asian place here in Montreal & let me tell you they deliver true authentic Thai cuisine. The flavours & the options are varied & tasty. You won't be disappointed! I 110% recommend this place :)
Authentic Thai food in Mont Royal! I came for lunch break & the service is quick yet my chicken curry taste amazing! They also have the pure palm juice which I'm in love & is rare to find - definitely come back for dinner & many more

The food was mediocre at best & not very authentic. One dish that really disappointed me was the drunken noodles. They're supposed to be lightly coated with oil, rich in flavor, & juicy. However, what I received were noodles that were dry, clumped together, & lacking flavor.
Love love love! Everything was very good! We recently got back from visiting Thailand & wanted to try some local Thai food. Their service was Excellent & food was very authentic! I especially loved the chicken sausages & even bought some home!
Food was good Curry options actually are very very limited - only red curry They should Add atleast 2 curries like green & white They are good - soups are good Authentic food Authentic taste but still can do more 4 pax bill was 140 with tip but good food Good taste
Absolutely delicious! My first visit (June 2024) & it certainly won't be my last. Fresh ingredients, fun flavours, & very authentic. The Kao Soi was sensational- not a drop of broth was left in the bowl- Slurrrrrrp! I also highly recommend their gyoza. Sweet, salty, & hard to stop eating! Our table actually went back for a second order. I will say that some may find the ambiance & decor a little simplistic but I personally like when a restaurant knows that their food speaks loud enough. I hope this place sticks around forever!
Stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while out for a Sunday walk. Best & most authentic Thai food I've had outside of Asia. Flavors & spice as one would have it in Thailand. Portions are fair with the price to match. Service is prompt & cordial. We will definitely return again.
Nice tiny Thai restaurant, very authentic. Very generous portions & adequate prices. It's hard to find really authentic Thai restaurant in Montreal; but this is gold. I am very spoiled with good Thai food but this one is very good.

Every dish feels like a homemade masterpiece, crafted with love & fresh ingredients. Everything is certified Halal & there is no pork/alcohol. Plus, they're super accommodating, making you feel like part of the family. If you're craving authentic Thai vibes in Montreal, Dek Sen is where it's at!
