The generous portions & quality ingredients haven't changed in decades. It's reliable, delicious, the staff is absolutely lovely, & it gives you that old school family restaurant vibe.
My fav breakfast place. The amount of people i refer here or have brought there, I deserve a stake in the company! Lol The quality never disappoint.
The fee for'sharing' a plate with my son is a bit intense … !
The best breakfast restaurant. My boyfriend showed me this place once & my roomate, boyfriend & I are often there. Thank you for everything !!
This is one great breakfast joint. I was driving early Saturday morning in Laval & decided to stop at this place. How can I say it...old school in the sense you get a lot for your money & they have a menu that will cater to everyone. This is a good one that only if you know you know.
This is a great breakfast spot. The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious & the prices are very reasonable. The meat lovers Egg Benedict is a great dish.
Great spot for breakfast! The place is clean & well-kept, with a warm & welcoming atmosphere. The staff is courteous & attentive, which really makes the experience pleasant. The food is fresh, tasty, & served hot - you can tell they care about quality. It's also very kid-friendly, which is a big plus for families. Definitely recommend for a relaxed & satisfying morning meal!
Everything was very good !! If I can make one suggestion, it would be to add a bit of fruit with the omelette plates. All other breakfast places do so :):)
Cosmopolitain used to be one of our favorite breakfast places, for the food quality & quantity, service & kind management. Unfortunately, things seem to have changed...& not for the better. Our last visit, yesterday, was my son's choice for celebrating his birthday with the family. As usual, we called to reserve a few days ahead of time. To our surprise, the seating arrangement was far from normal (the usual) or logical (tables split in between). We spoke with the waitress, who refused to change the configuration with the pretext that there was another reservation for the next table. We didn't make a fuss, but the owner showed up & we explained the situation, to which she said it would take too much space & block the way. We explained that they usually seat us in that way, with a few more people (we were 9 people & usually we're 12-13), that it's the end of the unit, so there's no blockage & that it would actually give them an extra table to receive more clients (even though the restaurant was only 2/3 to 3/4 full). Again, the owner wouldn't budge & seemed to not care, which surprised me, as she's usually smily & sweet. Food was good, as usual, but quantities were reduced (less potatoes & now decorative fruits require a supplement). Service was good, as usual, with the exception of the bread baskets being served without regard to the split seating arrangement. The bathroom (I'm referring to men's) experience was disappointing, not to say shocking. One of the urinals seemed to be blocked or clogged, which caused a little flood in the bathroom. The automatic soap dispenser was not functional & we had a soap bottle next to the sink. The hand paper dispenser was also not functional (or simply not filled) & a roll was left on top of the dispenser. The gentleman that was in the bathroom at the same time as myself, & who almost got soaked by the urinal after use, spoke with the owner but she didn't seem to see the urgency in the matter. When she came to my section of the restaurant, I told her that I wasn't aware if the other gentleman had spoken to her (which I saw him do) & explained the urinal overflow/flood situation. She seemed to take it more seriously & went to speak with some staff, but I'm not sure that I saw anyone headed towards the bathroom. All-in-all, if you're looking for good food, it's still not a bad place. However, if you're looking for a good dining experience, it unfortunately no longer seems to be the place to go, as it doesn't seem to be on the management's priority list. *** & one last note....the reservation that was referred to for the other table...that table was neither used nor set &, at one point, we were offered a chair from that same table. ***
I've been living in the west island my entire life but never had the chance to visit Cosmopolitain, despite hearing great things about it. However, today, while I was in Laval, I decided to give it a try for the first time with a friend who highly recommended it. We both opted for two eggs, meats, & a sweet dish. I requested to substitute potatoes with berries, but they couldn't accommodate the request & wanted to charge an extra $5.95, so I settled for half a Romaine lettuce leaf & 2 tomatoes with a small portion of berries. To my surprise, they only had strawberries & raspberries as they were out of blueberries & blackberries. When our plates arrived, we were shocked to see that the bacon portion consisted of only two pieces, & the waitress confirmed that it was the standard serving. The overall experience was disappointing. The plates looked empty, the service lacked personality, & the staff's response to our concerns was unsatisfactory. I have no plans of returning to this place, as it's not worth it. I would recommend saving your money & visiting Allo mon Coco or any other breakfast place that offers more generous portions.
I recently had breakfast at Le dejeuner Cosmopolitain in Laval with my uncle, & it was a fantastic experience! The food was delicious, the service was attentive, & the atmosphere was warm & inviting. We truly enjoyed our meal & will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!
One of the go-to breakfast nooks! Everything is good & yummy. I recommend
First time here, not the last. My stars say it all. I love the fact our breakfast made it to my table & was still hot including my toast. I found the staff is very attentive to all details. WELL DONE
My favourite breakfast place! Been going for years & it's always been consistent. The food is great & the staff is pleasant. A great way to start your day!
With Allo Mon Coco closeby, there's no reason to go to this outdated breakfast spot. Confusing menus, very mediocre food & meh atmosphere, i won't be coming back
This place is my absolute favorite in Montreal/Laval. I've been coming here for years, & every visit has been exceptional. The only downside is that on Sunday or Saturday mornings, there might be a line, but it moves quickly. The food is consistently delicious with a vast menu offering everything from sweet to savory, healthy to indulgent. The portions are generous, & the prices are very reasonable; I typically spend around $20 for a satisfying breakfast that keeps me full until lunch. Filtered coffee is included in the price, but there are also options for lattes, espressos, smoothies, & more. The servers are consistently polite & friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The cozy environment with comfortable booths makes it easy to enjoy conversations with friends or family, even when it's busy. Personally, I preferred it when they served syrup in bottles rather than little packets, but that's just a minor preference. If you're considering visiting, don't hesitate- you won't regret it!
