I have visited this place a few times & generally enjoyed it. However, during my most recent visit, the experience was not as positive. The waitress who served me seemed a bit disoriented. I had ordered toast, which unfortunately never arrived, & there was no check-in to see if everything was satisfactory. Additionally, I didn't receive a coffee refill. eventually a different waitress took care of the toast, but by then, my meal was already halfway finished & cold, which diminished the experience. When I left, I paid with cash on the table. However, the waitress followed me to ask if I had paid her colleague, which left me feeling a little uncomfortable. I hope this was just an off day, as my previous visits have been more enjoyable.
I've been living in the west island my entire life but never had the chance to visit Cosmopolitain, despite hearing great things about it. However, today, while I was in Laval, I decided to give it a try for the first time with a friend who highly recommended it. We both opted for two eggs, meats, & a sweet dish. I requested to substitute potatoes with berries, but they couldn't accommodate the request & wanted to charge an extra $5.95, so I settled for half a Romaine lettuce leaf & 2 tomatoes with a small portion of berries. To my surprise, they only had strawberries & raspberries as they were out of blueberries & blackberries. When our plates arrived, we were shocked to see that the bacon portion consisted of only two pieces, & the waitress confirmed that it was the standard serving. The overall experience was disappointing. The plates looked empty, the service lacked personality, & the staff's response to our concerns was unsatisfactory. I have no plans of returning to this place, as it's not worth it. I would recommend saving your money & visiting Allo mon Coco or any other breakfast place that offers more generous portions.
I recently had breakfast at Le dejeuner Cosmopolitain in Laval with my uncle, & it was a fantastic experience! The food was delicious, the service was attentive, & the atmosphere was warm & inviting. We truly enjoyed our meal & will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

First time here, not the last. My stars say it all. I love the fact our breakfast made it to my table & was still hot including my toast. I found the staff is very attentive to all details. WELL DONE
Update. Very nice surprise that today I Requested fresh fruits & they were fresh. Service today as usual very good. Requested plate of fresh fruits & the taste was rotten fruits, the charge was fresh . Full amount. Fruits are frozen & ready to throw in the compost bin. Service was good.

Bon, j'y vais : Ils se vantent que la fraîcheur est au "top" de leur priorité dans tout ce qu'ils font & force est d'admettre qu'ils ont raison & visé très juste!! J'ai commandé un bûcheron; 2 oeufs, 3 viandes(bacon, salami & Bologne), cretons & fèves aux lards. Le bacon était excellent, pas comme beaucoup d'autres places qui le font cuire 3 jours avant & déshydrate en-dessous d'un réchaud cruel & louche, jusqu'à l'abatoir, le gosier d'un client très déçu. Les pommes de terre style fricassée étaient excellentes & débordantes de saveur. Écoutez, même les fèves aux lards étaient pas mal meilleures qu'ailleurs. Ma femme a pris la crêpe aux fruits des champs & ses commentaires furent dithyrambiques malgré le fait qu'elle avait plein de crème anglaise sur la bouche. En passant, la meilleure crème anglaise que j'ai goûté. Merci de m'avoir lu & d'essayer cet endroit. Pour ceux qui en doute, je peux vous assurer que je n'ai pas d'intérêt financier envers cette place bref je suis plombier donc....
Generous food portions & delicious on top. Service was lacking since the restaurant was packed, missing coffee for some guests. I'd come back on a day that is less busy.
Nous sommes aller à ce restaurant pour la fête des mères, je comprend que c'est une journée très occupé pour eux mais notre expérience a été plus que ordinaire ...... Nous avions une banquet qui pour ma part était pour 4 personnes & nous étions 6 alors vraiment très serrés. Nous avons demandé des cafés & verre d'eau & la serveuse nous a dit: allez vous vraiment boire vos verre d'eau car nous n'en donnons pas à ceux qui ne les boit pas ....... Pas la suite, je demande une crêpe mince qui est arrivé mince & tellement sec qu'elle craquait comme des chips! Nos repas n'était pas chaud! Je ne crois pas y retourner !
En cette journée de la fête des mères, il est normal que le service soit plus long, mais de nous avoir assigné une table de six places alors que nous avions réservé pour 8 personnes, ce n'était pas génial. Des assiettes tellement grosses que nous devions mettre des verres par terre pour avoir un minimum de place sur la table. Ce fut franchement une mauvaise expérience.
