Would honestly say, its just like home! Supper delicious home made style street food; the people are very nice. Its mainly take out & cash only (but they have ATM in-house) prices are extremely good! We had, cheese burger, hotdog & chicken sandwich & all were very good!View more
Like other decades old community/city/local establishments, Decarie Hot dog has been serving audiences of every background possible from age to ethnicity to wealth to education. - almost everyone has heard of this place or eaten there as an institution bar none. The old Montreal pool room is a competitor but geographically they are so far apart they don't really compete, however I believe that the atmosphere & food quality is far superior. This had been a family owned & run business that feels like a family environment from day one. Its owners Nick & his son (Kawasaki) Tommy have delighted its patrons in a warm, friendly & inviting manner with humour & great conversation - it's like the bar Cheers on TV equivalent. Must eats, of course, the Montreal steamed hot dog & the Montreal classic way is mustard & coleslaw. Fries are fantastic & fresh cut & twice fried & of course poutine is amazing as it's the burger & other items including breakfasts. So go & have an affordable but & get to know the staff as they are excellent human beings.View more
I miss this place! When I use to live In St. Lo, I'd come here quite often. I came here for the first time in the summer of 1998. It was the place to go when I only had change in my pockets. Best fries I ever had to this day & the hot dogs with coleslaw...mmm.View more
Tiny place, hardly any seats, tiny counter for dine-in customers. A true throw-back with old school charm of a Montreal classic. Best steamie hot dogs. A mainstay of Ville Saint-Laurent.View more
Honestly it's going down in quality. The portions are smaller & the price is higher. Got a poutine for 9$, potatoes were not fully cooked & the plate smaller. I remember this place much better... I feel like they are trying to cut cost & jeopardize on quality unfortunately.View more
Décarie Hot Dogs is HANDS DOWN THE BEST FAST FOOD JOINT TO EVER EXIST!!!!!!!!!! It's been around for more than 60 years (opened in 1969) & it NEVER disappoints, so no wonder it won a bunch of prizes & awards over the years. You can always expect delicious delicious foods such as hot dogs(get the all dressed steamed hot dogs for a Montreal experience & a poutine), cheeseburgers, fries, coleslaw, club sandwich, breakfast, etc... Quick efficient service, cheap prices, good filling greasy food, it doesn't get any better than that. My family has been eating there ever since I can remember, for many decades, I definitely recommend it!!!!!View more
good hot dogs. Went here & saw a staff come in & without washing his hands, puts his dirty hands in the already fried fries.View more
I was really excited to try it I've been there back in 2010 & it was really good but this time it was really regular hotdog nothing special. Probably won't be coming back again.View more
For a greasy lunch or dinner, come to Décarie hot Dogs. Not bad junk food, but actually pretty tasty. Heart attack waiting to happen ! Verdict : give it a try, at least once in your lifetime.View more

Bien aimer mon repas,
View more
Not bad & not good. Just a normal hot dog i could've made at home. Not worth going out of your way.View more
