DAX Glace is not just another ice cream shop - it feels like Montréal has borrowed a little piece of the New Zealand dessert experience & given it its own beautiful, modern personality.

The first thing that caught my attention was the New Zealand-style ice cream, especially the way it is blended to order with real fruit. Watching the fruit transform into that incredibly smooth, fresh, almost impossibly creamy texture is an experience in itself. It's completely different from the usual scoop-&-serve ice cream routine.

The Little Jem machine is such a fun & unique touch, & the result is fantastic: fresh fruit, creamy texture, & flavours that actually taste like the ingredients rather than just sugar.

The house-made dips, artisanal soft serve, signature sundaes, affogatos & espresso-inspired creations make the menu feel thoughtful rather than repetitive. You can tell there is real attention to texture, presentation, balance & detail.

What makes DAX memorable for me is the cultural mix: a Montréal neighbourhood café spirit, a distinctly New Zealand-inspired ice cream technique, excellent coffee culture, & the creativity of a modern dessert shop - all under one roof.

A genuinely original addition to Outremont. Bravo, DAX - keep the creativity coming! 🇳🇿

I went 4-5 times since it opened & it never disappoints. HIGHLY recommend the s'mores sundae. The soft serve is really good too & the waffle cone is amazing.

Excellente adresse ! J'adore leurs sundaes & leur crème glacée molle. Les produits sont d'une qualité remarquable : très onctueux, juste assez sucrés & avec des recettes originales. Le personnel est toujours souriant & serviable. En plus, le glacier est situé juste à côté du métro Outremont, ce qui le rend très facile d'accès. Jusqu'à présent, j'ai toujours trouvé une place sur la terrasse… mais je ne suis pas sûr que ça dure longtemps !
