While it's a dagwoods chain, the chili is most certainly not dagwoods quality. There wasn't even any meat in it & had more than one variety of bean & the taste was NOTHING like dagwoods chili. So unless dagwoods changed their recipe in the last couple of weeks, the owner is just making up their own recipe. Was also a bit weird that it the person serving me had to go in the back to fill the chili.
Sandwich was still the same so at least their is that, but I think they have less toppings too than other dagwoods I've been to.
Don't recommend it at all.
1. The place was dirty & looked dingy; walls full of dust, old breadcrumbs all over, floors were dirty.
2. The bread was old, we ordered toasted & got mushy wet bread. Vegetables were NOT fresh. Ordered an Italian sandwich & got the thinnest slices of meat, almost no cheese & didn't taste like anything (even with sauce)
3. The service was not great either, not even slightly friendly terrible customer service. Asked for extra napkins & he threw them on the counter instead of handing them to me. Also, when other customers walked in he started yelling at the girl to come serve them.
Overall terrible experience! Expensive for what you get!
The lettuce was rotten, i had to spit out in disgust after taking a bite..
I have ordered that exact sandwich hundreds of time in my life from seceral dagwoods locations & its never tasted this awful.. clearly pinching pennies at this location
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Love this place! Dagwoods sandwiches are always a hit, & this location is no exception. Fresh ingredients, & that signature Dagwoods sauce make it a must-visit for sandwich lovers. Not dry like Subway, it's clear they care about quality. Highly recommend!
I just ate spicy chicken sandwich which was mouthwatering i highly recommend this place to dine in . The girl who's working over there namely Nisha she very polite & serves me a great meal .
I've been a loyal customer of the Dagwoods location in Saint-Charles since they first opened. However, during my last two visits this year, I was disappointed to notice that the signature'Dagwoods' sandwich has noticeably less meat than in the past. The portion size has clearly been reduced-what some might call'shrinkflation.' It felt quite skimpy compared to what I've come to expect over the years. I sincerely hope this isn't a growing trend of charging more for less, as it undermines the quality & value that made me a regular customer in the first place.
Bought 2 sandwiches that were disappointing & frankly unappealing. Hot peppers were not cut into thin rings, but enormous 2' long chunks! Green bell peppers were 1' long by 1/2' wide, not a small dice like is at other locations (& which I assume is the standard). The interior of the restaurant also smelled strongly of bleach... This location & the quality of their food has been going down for years, & this is the last time I will be a customer. I would recommend other patrons visit the Dagwoods on St-Jean's, which clearly has standards & quality.
I went there this morning, & I recognized the young lady that was working. I was in a super rush. She banged out my sandwich very quickly & it was freshly & perfectly made. She was also very pleasant which made it a perfect transaction. Highly recommended.
