Review Summary

Reviews describe Da Vinci as a refined Italian dining spot where the food is often excellent, the service attentive, and the atmosphere welcoming, with many guests feeling valued and pampered during the experience; the menu offers classic Italian options with a range of dishes and several visits highlight standout items such as seafood starters, pasta, risotto, and a tomahawk steak, along with thoughtful touches from staff; the ambience is noted as elegant yet comfortable, making it suitable for celebrations, romantic dinners, or gatherings in the downstairs private room; while the overall impression is positive, some comments point to occasional subpar service on busy nights, tables that feel tight, and prices that can seem high for portions or value, prompting a consideration of balance between quality and cost.

Didn't enjoy my experience here even though I have wanted to come here for years.
From the salmon carpaccio which was very good but a very small portion for the price to the bland beef tenderloin to the boring tiramisu.

Would I come back? Yes if only to see if they were having an off night.

I have just had the most pleasurable experience at Ristorante Da Vinci this evening. If you are a true foodie & are looking for that perfect blend of five star service coupled with authentic, five star Italian food from a chef that tops his every dish with the next creation in a very invitng & romantic yet comfortable atmosphere...look no further than Ristorante Da Vinci. The restaurant is intimate & inviting & the staff is top shelf. Every member of my table ordered a different dish & all were prepared to perfection. I had the opportunity to meet one of the owners, Vincenzo Amodeo, who politely greeted his guests, took a photo or two with the local hockey stars dining at the table next to us & charmed his every guest with his winning personality. I have to give this restaurant five out of five stars for atmosphere, service, delicious food & pleasant staff.

Classy, ritzy & intimate is how we would describe the setting at Da Vinci. It's the kind of place you would go to with your significant other or your parents on their anniversary.

You know when you walk into a restaurant with several empty tables in the main area, but are told by the staff to sit in a different, isolated, mostly-empty section? Well, that was our experience tonight, & we weren't happy about it one bit!

Tonight we went with the Sinfonia Verde & Mozzarella di Bufala for starters (both hits). Then we went with the Linguine Fini del Pescatore (so-so) & finally the Filetto di Vitello di Latte al Forno (a miss).

Da Vinci is a relic from a bygone era when upscale restaurants actually invested in posh interiors. Based on tonight, unfortunately, we felt that was the only predominantly positive aspect of our dinner. The food tasted good mostly, but lacked a certain creativity in presentation, while the "table" mishap left a bit of a bitter taste in our mouths.
