Located in a beautiful Victorian dwelling in the heart of Montreal, Ristorante Da Vinci offers its guests elegant and warm surroundings.
From its magnificent mahogany staircase to its high ceilings and natural fireplaces and its private salon to its appetizing antipasto and dessert display, Da Vinci will rejoice both your eyes and your palate.
To compliment your meal, an extensive list of wines from 20 regions of Italy is offered. Before turning to dessert, walnuts are offered to accompany the wine. Then it's time for some classic Italian sweets or a few novelties such as the duo of iced mousse, dark chocolate and amaretto !
Reviews describe Da Vinci as a refined Italian dining spot where the food is often excellent, the service attentive, and the atmosphere welcoming, with many guests feeling valued and pampered during the experience; the menu offers classic Italian options with a range of dishes and several visits highlight standout items such as seafood starters, pasta, risotto, and a tomahawk steak, along with thoughtful touches from staff; the ambience is noted as elegant yet comfortable, making it suitable for celebrations, romantic dinners, or gatherings in the downstairs private room; while the overall impression is positive, some comments point to occasional subpar service on busy nights, tables that feel tight, and prices that can seem high for portions or value, prompting a consideration of balance between quality and cost.
Came here for dinner last night with a colleague on a business trip. We Were seated right away.
Bread, oil, petite toast bruschetta & olives were served while we looked at the menu.
Many classic selections to choose from. I had to have the pasta Bolognese, Which was very tasty. My colleague had the mushroom risotto which was also very delicious. Many protein options including A5, shanks, tomahawks, etc.
Great ambience. Was not loud & were able to hold a conversation all night. The host & their team were very attentive & courteous. Ended the night with lemon cello on the house which was a very nice touch by the host. Thank you for taking care of us!
My wife took me to Da Vinci Restaurant for my birthday. So let me give you the run down of the evening.
We shared 2 starters the Octopus & calamari. Cooking Octopus is an art. Way too easy to turn a perfectly good piece of Octopoda into a rubbery mess, well not at Da Vinci. Our chef Alessandro has mastered this practise & the Calamari were just as good.
The mains were black Cod & New York Strip loin. Our dinner was a quiet affair as we indulged in our meals. Enjoying each bite. Chef Alessandro was on his game tonight.
The service was Exemplary. Attention to detail was at the forefront of this dining experience. Carlo & Raymond were simply amazing, treating us as long lost friends & ensuring that we enjoyed every part of the evening.
My only regret is in fact my mistake. I didn't snap any pictures of our evening & no pictures of the meals.
Thank you Da Vinci we will come back.

Elegant ambiance & genuinely Italian cuisine at Da Vinci Restaurant: homemade pasta & top-quality ingredients shine in every bite, & the service is attentive & welcoming
We had an early dinner.before a show. Our server, Carlo, was fantastic. We had a few pieces of lamb & the salmon crudo to start. The salmon was great. The lamb was probably the tastiest, tender lamb I've ever had. We ended up deciding to share the tomahawk. It came out perfectly rare & served with a selection of potatoes & peppercorn sauce. The steak melted in my mouth. The peppercorn sauce was fantastic.
We finished off with a trio of cannolis. A first for me, but definitely not the last.
Everything recommended by Carlo was delicious. Our drinks never ran dry.
DaVinci Restaurant is by far one of my favorites! The waiters make you feel like a princess-they even bring you food before you've finished ordering. The espresso martini & king crab legs are absolutely the best. Honestly, whatever you feel like eating, they'll make it happen. Lavi makes you feel right at home, & the whole place has such a welcoming yet fancy vibe. It's also a great spot for a romantic date, & they have private rooms available for group dinners. Truly a 5-star experience!
