About

Da Vinci serves an authentic repertoire of Italian cuisine that emphasizes the tradition of handmade pasta and fresh Mediterranean seafood preparations. The kitchen focuses on sourcing high quality fish and shellfish to create robust plates that reflect the classic culinary techniques of the coastal regions. Patrons encounter a dining environment defined by its commitment to heritage recipes and simple yet precise ingredient application. Each dish showcases a deliberate balance of imported olive oils, aromatic herbs, and seasonal produce to ensure structural integrity across the menu. The culinary approach prioritizes the natural characteristics of the primary ingredients over excessive complex garnishes. This establishment maintains a consistent standard for those seeking traditional Mediterranean flavors prepared with technical proficiency and a deep respect for foundational Italian preparation methods.

Review Summary

Da Vinci is widely recognized as a premier destination in Montreal for those seeking an elegant dining experience featuring authentic Italian cuisine. Many guests praise the warm, inviting atmosphere and the exceptional attention to detail provided by the attentive staff, which often makes diners feel like VIPs. While numerous visitors highlight the high quality of dishes like the lamb, seafood, and homemade pasta, others note that portion sizes can be small relative to the price and that experiences can occasionally vary during busy periods or special events. Despite mixed feedback regarding pricing and occasional inconsistencies in service, the majority of patrons appreciate the polished environment, personalized hospitality, and overall sophisticated charm of the restaurant.

Arrived in Montreal late evening, it was the only restaurant that was open. & luckily for me. I got to sit at the bar & have a delicious charcuterie board & salad. A delicious piece of lamb included on the board. Define cuts of dried meats & olives in cheeses.. I was so full. I took the salad home & it was delicious the next day for lunch.
The staff is very professional, especially the girl bartender behind the bar. She made me feel very welcomed.
Highly recommend.

We had reservations for a Friday night & we arrived 15 minutes early & were seated immediately. Our waiter was phenomenal! I had a tough time deciding between two dishes & he split them in 2 so I could try both. Besides the amazing service, the food was amazing! We had the burrata appetizer which was incredibly smooth. The mushroom ravioli was hands down the favorite dish which was quickly eaten. The lamb cavatelli dish was also delicious but it couldn't compete with the richness of the truffle & mushroom. I highly recommend Da Vinci!

We reserved the main floor for our Corporate event....
What an amazing night we had!

The staff was dedicated, kind & so well organized! We were about 55 people.... & they delivered!

The venue was beautiful & the food...OMG!!! I never had a Burrata that fresh, that tasty, that good! & don't get me started over the Rib-eye Steak!!

I strongly recommend the Da Vinci for your events, you will definitely not regret it!!!

See you soon

This restaurant has become one of my favorites, the food quality & service is top notch.
We were a large group & everyone was extremely satisfied.
Appetizers were all good, the veal Carpaccio was tender & tasty, the caprice with mozzarella Di Bufala was the freshest I’ve ever tasted.
Main courses also received rave reviews from everyone. The veal ossobuco with risotto was amazing, roasted veal, grilled lamb chops, seafood linguini, shrimp & crab dish all received top honors from our friends.
The service was beyond reproach, our waiter “Carlo” was always available & made some amazing recommendations on both food & wine. Rarely do you see service this good, he must have years of experience & it really shows in the confident matter exhibited.
Decor could use an update, but still very nice & classically decorated, has not changed in many years.
Price wise, it is expensive, with wine tip & tax, approx $250 per couple, but well worth it for this level of food quality & service.
I would highly recommend it.

Tout était parfait. Service courtois. Excellente nourriture.
