I've lived near this place for the last 3 years but I've never been inside. It looks cool but it never seems to have many people so I didn't feel a big pull towards it.
Every first Wednesday of the month, my fiancée, her mom & I try a different restaurant on Sherbrooke that we've never been to, & this time it was Crustys.
We started off as the only ones there & then another couple showed up a bit after. I'm quite surprised they don't have more people honestly.
The place itself has pretty cool vibes. The decor is nice, bathrooms are clean & we were allowed to control the radio ourselves.
The lady at the counter, I think maybe the owner? Was super nice, made sure everything we ordered was correct & recommended trying different sauces for free. She even came back to our table & gave us more fries, I'm assuming so they didn't go to waste which I thought was great.
The food was quite good, I was surprised considering how quiet this place always looks. I didn't have high expectations to be honest but I'll definitely be returning. I'm not a big fries person but I really enjoyed theirs.
The food was great but just for the service, I'd highly recommend this place. She definitely knows how to make a client feel like their time in the restaurant is valued & appreciated.
My boyfriend & I had such a wonderful experience here. The woman at the front counter gave us a warm welcome & took the time to explain every menu item, & even offer sauce & mac & cheese samples to make sure we liked what we ordered. I wish I got her name to shout her out but she was lovely. We loved our food (the crusty burger & mac attack). The atmosphere & artwork was also a major bonus. We will definitely be returning.
J'ai découvert ce restaurant par hasard & quelle belle surprise ! J'ai commandé un sandwich au poulet sur baguette (sous marin) avec fromage, champignons & leur sauce maison piquante… tout simplement délicieux ! Les saveurs sont parfaitement équilibrées, le pain sésame est très soft & le poulet est parfaitement fait. Un pur plaisir pour les papilles ! En plus, le service est au top, la dame à la réception est très souriante & l'ambiance est vraiment agréable. Je recommande à 100 % & je reviendrai sans hésiter. Merci beaucoup.
I loved eating there. The service deserves the 5 stars. I went on a Wednesday it was not busy at all but the ambiance was very nice. The aesthetic of retro is so cool there is a lot of antic objects & decor. This restaurant is one of the cleanest I have been to. The kitchen, the bathroom & the tables are super clean. The food is sooooo good. The price that you pay for homemade food is amazing. I got a beef burger & some wings & every bite was delicious. The sauces were also very good & savory. There is a very kind an joyful lady that is always willing t chose the best option for you. She's super nice & alway ready to help. I recommend it a 100% !!!!!
Sketchy. Sketchy... There's a tiny window to pass food through from the kitchen to the front.. it's always closed..in my experience, restaurants that hide their kitchen usually have something to hide like sanitation practices & food handling.. I went there a couple of months ago with my daughter.i had ordered wings, it came with a cheese dipping sauce..my daughter ordered the mac & cheese. It tasted awful because they used the same cheese dipping sauce for the sauce for the macaroni... although the staff were pleasant,the food was nasty
This is a really great spot for halal fast food! Everything is fresh, clean & super tasty. I went with my family & the vibes were great. Lovely atmosphere, big sitting area & very welcoming staff. They offer a large variety of different sandwiches, burgers, sauces & poutines. I tried the fried chicken burger & it was amazing: very generous portion & incredible taste. We also tried the poutine & fajita sub, both very yummy. This restaurant reminded me of the ones back in Lebanon. So, if you're a foodie looking for halal options in Montreal, definitely check Crusty's out!

This is a very unique looking place. Really enjoyed the food it was perfectly cooked & prepared. The lovely young lady on the cash was amazing, very friendly & respectful. She gave us some recommendations & made sure we were aware of any spicy food we order or sauces. If you are looking for a good diner style restaurant I recommend giving this place a try. FYI, this is a halal restaurant.
