I'm sure the food is great but it was a very hot day & they didn't have any tables inside. It's very small so we couldn't go. After walking all the way there & the blazing heat.
Absolutely divine. We discovered this on our first trip to Montreal walking our dog early in the morning. They were one of the only places near Mt Royal open around 7am, & oh my goodness we got so lucky. The espresso & drinks were best of the best, as were the baked goods & service. Also lovely dog friendly seating right outside the cafe.
We ended up going here every morning of our trip, & it truly captured the essence of what we were hoping to experience in Montreal. When we return we are making sure our air bnb or hotel is walking distance from Côte Cafe!

Checked out this cafe for the first time today, I was greeted by the owner Ryan who made me feel welcomed. The espresso was a+ & I especially liked the ambiance of the place
À la recherche d'un endroit cosy pour se reposer en sortie de musée, voilà que notre chemin nous mène à Côte Café. Excellente découverte ! Un iced matcha latte amande délicieux & une serveuse adorable. Un petit café tout mimi qui me reverra bientôt sur sa terrasse calme. Merci encore pour cette petite glace rafraîchissante.

It is located near our Apartment & we checked it out today . It is a small place with very friendly service . The coffee as well as my iced Matcha Latte was very tasty & we enjoyed it in front of the cafe . Definetely coming back here again .
It's quite a walk up the hill. It's super hot inside, the worker said they just got a single AC this year & had to work in the heat before. The AC they have is not enough, everyone coming in was sweating & hot. The matcha was not great, tasted like milk with vanilla. I did ask for a vanilla shot but it tasted nothing like matcha. I walked 20 minutes to come here because of the rating but was super disappointed. Maybe other drinks are good. The service was good though!
A Hidden Gem in Montréal - Cozy, Delicious, & So Charming!
I stumbled upon Cote Café during a quick stop on my way through the Côte-des-Neiges area, & I'm so glad I did. This place is truly one of the cutest cafés I've ever come across in Montréal. Tucked away just enough to feel like a local secret, the cozy ambiance immediately drew me in. Warm wood accents, minimalistic decor, & soft lighting give it that perfect blend of modern & homey. You can tell a lot of care has gone into crafting the vibe.
I ordered a cappuccino & it was fantastic. The coffee itself was rich & well-balanced, with a unique & refreshing layer. It wasn't overpowering at all; just enough to make you stop & say,'Wow, that's different - in the best way.'
I also picked up a spinach danish roll, which was flaky, warm, & packed with flavor. It had just the right amount of filling & a buttery, golden crust that practically melted in my mouth. Fresh, satisfying, & clearly made with quality ingredients.
The staff was friendly & welcoming, even though I was just popping in quickly. It's the kind of place where you could just as easily sit for hours reading or working as you could grab something on the go.
Overall, Cote Café has earned a spot on my list of Montréal must-visits. Whether you're in the neighborhood or just passing through, it's absolutely worth a stop. Highly recommend!
Un super café! Les propriétaires sont très gentils & conviviaux. La carte propose des viennoiseries de très bonne qualité & je viens de voir que pour cet été ils vont proposés des glaces !
J'ai hâte d'y goûter !
