Reviews describe Cookie Stéfanie as a cozy cafe with a strong gluten-free selection and a tempting array of pastries, cookies, muffins, and cakes. Many praise items like the gluten-free carrot cake and the chocolate caramel cake, note that there are specialty gluten-free products in store and even frozen cakes, and some items are nut based; however some muffins and cookies can be a bit dry and a few items feel overly sweet or not fully gluten-free in practice. Several reviews highlight friendly service and a convenient one stop spot for gluten-free treats, while a few mention changes in staff and inconsistent morning experiences. Overall, it seems to be a go to for gluten-free options and baked goods with many highlights but with caveats about labeling accuracy, freshness, and value.
Pretty good desserts. Everything is gluten free which is cool. Caramel brownie is good but the brownie itself is a bit odd tasting. The carrot cake is to die for however.

The staff is always so sweet & accommodating! I have celiac so this place is perfect for me! The pastries, cookies, etc average around 5 CAD each but obviously it is dependent on whatever you get! Love them though like seriously having gluten free pastries that genuinely yummy makes my heart so happy, I always make my way here for my sweet fix ! I really like the carrot cake, carré aux bleuets, & the carré that had chocolate + coconut!!
Very good gluten free location. My only sadness is that back in March 2022 they had this delicious pistachio & chocolate cookie that appeared on the menu.. then suddenly a few months later when I came back in they informed me that they never had such a creation? I dream of that cookie. I wish I knew its name & why it appeared so suddenly just as suddenly as it disappeared.
Prominently advertises itself as being "gluten-free" but offers gluten options. As other reviews have stated, this greatly increases risk of cross-contamination for people with celiac. Food was also just not good.
I needed a gluten free desserts for a party. Got the carrot cake & the salted caramel cake. DELICIOUS.. I also got a few pastries for home . Same as the cakes but small size . Brownies & a couple cookies ,just to try. Everything & I mean everything was delicious, not dry , very tasty 😋. Prices are good too. I'm am definitely going back. Probably become a regular customer.

Cookie Stefanie has some of the best gluten free desserts I've ever had (even compared to Parc Sans Gluten & Marquis). I travel from Ottawa specifically for these desserts. My gluten-eating friend agreed that he wouldn't have known these desserts are gluten free.
Celiac paradise for lunch, GF cakes, & pastries for special occasions or just to indulge ourselves. The quality of the food & service is always top notch.
What a sweet little gem in Old Montreal! We were searching for gluten-free bakery & we couldn't believe our options at this place!
We had the Jean Louis cake. It was fresh & a great portion for the price. 😋💯

Stopped in after a long day sightseeing to get a salad to take back to the hotel. I asked the person working if they had anything else gluten free, much to my surprise, she said “everything”. The “to-go” salad was fresh, flavorful & delicious! The raspberry/chocolate chip muffin also very tasty!
