One of my favourite sushi in Montreal: fresh, good quality wasabi & non-coloured ginger. Soy sauce can be of higher quality. I wish they served toro. Missing 1 star in my opinion because out of all the sushi restaurants in Montreal, Sushi Yatta COULD get as good as Vancouver sushi if they made their rolls & special rolls more like there, moving further away from disgusting deep-fried smoked messy Quebec sushi. EDIT: They've gotten better so… updated from 4 to 5 stars ⭐️View more

The restaurant gave us packets of plum sauce for our tempura shrimp instead of tentsuyu sauce, which is traditionally served. Even cheap grocery store tempura shrimp come with tentsuyu sauce. Laughable. Additionally, the woman who manages the place is rude.View more

We visited Sushi Yatta today, as we have many times since they opened. In the beginning, we enjoyed friendly service, but it has gradually declined as they've gotten busier. Today, the cashier-who was yawning-made a mistake on our order & charged us for it. It was only $2.75, but when we pointed it out, the owner impatiently dismissed us. The service during our last few visits has also been poor. It felt like an inconvenience to the staff whenever we asked for basic items like soy sauce, which should be standard when ordering sushi. After this experience, we've decided not to return.View more

I ordered the salmon poke bowl using online ordering for pick-up through DoorDash. My order was ready in time & the staff were friendly. The bowl was a very generous portion & perfect in all aspects! I found all ingredients fresh & there was a good quantity of salmon in proportion to the rest. I will go there again & I recommend it!View more
